Scammer! patmiller27

I purchased an article bot from patmiller27 from his thread:http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/buy-sell-services/249789-get-your-custom-made-bots-we-can-automate-almost-anything-21.html April 22nd for $400 I let him know I needed an article bot that produces unique copyscape passed articles that are readable. He told me he could do it no problem. I paid the money and waited. 2 days later he sent me a message telling me that his outsourcer would send me the bot. (From this moment on I got scared, as I thought he coded bots himself) Anyways I got the bot, it was a trash bot that was extremely hard to use and his worker thats from another country made me very vague instructions. After working on the bot I was able to produce a paragraph of an article, This is what I got:

I told the worker that the bot only produces 1 paragraph and that its unreadable, the worker was nice and did some tweaks to the bot and sent it to me again, again I got terrible paragraphs that aren't readable. After that the worker said that its no way he can get it more readable. I told him to refund me then, and he said ok I will talk to Pat. I talked to Pat and we went back and forth over the quality of the bot and then finally said he would give me a refund after he made some extra money then he could pay me. I said Ok, from then he has played so many games. He scolds me and told me he wont refund me because I posted in his thread. and told me he wont pay me unless I play by his rules. This is crap, Im also getting PM's from others saying hes done the same thing to them. Gave them a crap bot then plays games with there refund. Telling you to play by his rules.

The title is slightly misleading. While I agree a refund is in order, I want to point out that your expectations are set too high. A _bot_ that spins articles to pass copyscrape are seldom readable and visa-versa. It requires much more than the average programmer is capable of. Despite his incompetence and attitude (which I can sorta understand but not approve of, a shitlist thread will probably ruin his reputation and thus income), I think it's uncalled for to brand him as a scammer.

That is definitely a very tough bot to make, man.

I have tried doing this before and the best thing I could come up with is to scrape related content and parse it through a translator using languages that are similar.

Which usually ended up sounding like that paragraph you provided or worse. There's not a way for a bot to "generate" readable content because it's a computer. A computer cannot sit there and generate legible material, telling you about its day and how much it loves the new Kevin Bacon movie and why. Because it does not speak English (or any other human language.)

The best you can do is to scrape existing content, maybe find some nice online jewels loaded with content (newspaper archives are good, if you're looking for fish content.. Go to some silly local fishing website, grab their stuff), scrape the content and either spin it yourself, have a tool like TBS spin it for you (which usually comes out as nonsense) or have it translated to some other Latin based language and back to English. Which also comes out as nonsense.

BTW.... There is already a bunch of tools that do this. One is called TheBestSpinner and it's $7. It will download online articles related to your term, or spintax articles written by other users... Then spin them based on it's user-generated thesaurus to a depth set by you. Then check them against CopyScape for uniqueness.

yep its not an easy bot to make, if he couldn't he should have said so. but he didnt.

IMHO, ref.: The above three conditions >> If they are (reasonably) met then there is no need to refund; but if those conditions aren't (reasonably) met then IMO, the refund is due.

I don't know what the OP has written on another thread about this issue, but that can be worked out amicably, and also may be, with the intervention of Mods about whether the service provider should stop his service until a refund, if applicable, is issued successfully.

Hope this matter gets resolved without causing any party any further loss.

Pat knew his "workers" couldn't make this bot, Why did he go ahead with the order? Seems like bad conduct imo.

Pat gave me a negative iTrader before for "being impatient".

Complete lies... His bot wouldn't work and I asked for a refund.
(This is a long time ago now by the way).

The guy has a real attitude problem, and I found him extremely
difficult to talk to.... In your situation OP, he shouldn't have taken
the job.

Forgot to mention when the above happened to me, all my negative
posts on his thread we're removed (how convenient).

His Coder is building one bot for me for $200. one month now, but still fix the broken things. let me see the final bot.

Same thing happened to me! Fortunately, I used elance and went to arbitration to get my escrow back! Wasted 1 month at least..It was the same story - told me he could get it done no probs, sent me garbage bot, would not give the money back.

I also posted in his thread, but the posts vanished. I'm curious why the mods are protecting him...

One of his workers also made me a bot.

It was total bull. Really slow.

Ive just let it pass, but it looks like I'm not the only one who had problems.

Someone needs to close his thread till he pays you back so he don't scam anyone else.

Once he tried to charge me $800-1000 for a bot that was going to be made in Ubot AND Fatboy told me he could do it for under $100. WTH.

I hope someone sorts this out. The quality of his bots, for the price is terrible in my opinion.

yea same thing, his "worker" made my bot in ubot also, its was the most basic piece of crap ive ever seen, they maybe built it in 20 minutes and charged me 400usd, I feel he does not care in the least to what he gives his customers. And then has the audacity to be rude, Note how quickly he accused me of being rude and quickly stated he would not refund me because of it. Its almost comical.. this is not good business. I know people that outsource things like this, but they at least check the software before giving it to a customer.

I would just like to point out that in my experience, I don't think he's a scammer.

He just gives you low quality shit and then rips you off for a super turbo charged price which is ridiculous.

I know a few other coders who can do it for much less. This guy charges so much and then just gives shit customer service. Not a good way to do business. Just my 2 cents.

Yes ill say it again, I tried to change the thread title, but yes I dont think he is a scammer. But he is bad to do business with.

He is actually the reason that I learned to use Ubot.

I asked about a tool that I wanted made, fairly simple thing and was quoted $450. So I learned Ubot and made it myself, you can find it around here somewhere. Xrumer profile browser, it helps to index Xrumer profiles by browsing other profiles on the forum, dropping links on their profiles.

Also, if you visit the Ubot forums, you will find a ton of people who can create whatever bot you'd like and make high quality stuff. They have a whole marketplace over there for custom tools.

I don't wanna hijack your thread folks but I tough will be nice to add few words , usually I don't hang on this part of the forum lol but there is a special case . Long ago ... I mean very long ago ... I needed some automation tools well the job to be honest it's pretty complex ... and I started to look about a professionally coder / programmer who can make my life easier you know ... OK ... So I meet pat there on bhw , after few replies I think I`ve got him on my skype I told him briefly what I need ... but since the complexity of the tasks involved he asked me to send him on details all stuffs needed ( descriptions of the jobs , jobs order and so on ) ... I`ve started to write like hell ... and I was able to bring him looong and boring lectures ...

Thing is ... I don't have nothing with this guy to be honest , it's not hes fault '' per se '' he didn't delivered what I paid for at the end of the day and he didn't refund me ... I see the point there way too long time to ask him for refund , way too much time to look back and have hard-feelings lol . Thing is ... Ubot first of all it's bit limited when it's comes to mix together complex actions . To be honest my solution at the time when I needed this stuffs comes pretty easy on june 2011 I think I found winautomation and I meet their custom coding paid services ... I`ve paid I think bit more than I lost with patmiller but I got my shiets done in professionally manner , with good time-frame and the coder from their support a great person lol .... since then I simply didn't care about I lost like $1K with pat , lol wasn't worth even to go to hunt him on forums and to make noise about this moneys ... recovered them I think within a week or so .

Why I`ve wrote there ? Simply ... first of all I got bored last couple of hours was bit annoying for me lol ... second I`ve wrote before on forums I think , some comments about ubot ... like I`ve said ubot it's good maybe for simple tasks , for simple jobs ... but for complex work it's not so good . Pat isn't coding hes bots , he have others who do coding for him , with my job also he passed me to another fella who was trying to understand what he's trying to accomplish ... There is a known issue , even for best and greatest coders / programmers , we all come from '' IT '' , but knowledges about advertising / link building / content ... seo ... sem everything can't be mixed within few words with coding lol ... sometime even the slang used by marketers , or linkbuilders it's bit different lol ... each one of us have various skills , from my point of view ( I rekon bit selfish lol ) programmers / coders are most fortunate from all of us lol because they know their shits most probably and they do what they was supposed to do but don't care about all those small and big details what comes from their work lol ... I seriously believe this was my case ... I simply wasn't speaking same language like the guy who was on the charge with the coding part ....
