Scammed on twitter

Hey!

So the story is simple, I was scammed on twitter for $100 when attempting to buy concert tickets. Stupidly paid via f&f on paypal, so paypal will have none of it regarding getting money back.

The scammer is extremely stupid (I know, the irony). After I made paypal payment, they said they dont take paypal and that they were hacked, they only accept gift cards. I used a different account and approached them again, and was told to pay via the exact same paypal method. When confronted, they blocked me on that account too.

Any ideas on how I can go about getting this money back?

So I was on the look out for some tickets for a concert, when this guy commented saying they had some for sale and I should DM them.

I agreed a price and was given a paypal email address to send the money too. At this point it seemed legit as they shared screenshots of their email order.

I sent the money and was asked to send a screenshot confirming payment. This was the point I realised, as noone would really need a screenshot to confirm payment to a legit account.

The scammer then stopped communicating for a while. After numerous chasing messages, they responded saying there account was hacked and they only take gift cards as payment, trying to get me to send them gift card payment

Alot of back and forth then went on with them saying they were not a scammer, even had the cheek to say I was scamming them!

I used a different twitter account and approached the same user for tickets they wete advertising.

Low and behold, the little pr1ck said to send payment to the same email address over paypal. I told them, this time lying, that I had sent the money and once again they asked for a screenshot. I responded with a screenshot of the other conversation where they said they do not take paypal and their account was hacked.

At this point, the clown has blocked me on both accounts.
 
It's not fare i think you have to Report their actions to the admin again.

You cant send money to people like that.

Yep, indeed. Its just a shame there is nothing to be done to stop the guy doing it to others.
 
i got scammed 2 weeks ago when trying to buy some pictures from real people talking about my site, my damage was 25$

Sucks doesn’t it? It’s not even the monetary value that has pissed me off. It’s that they are freely getting away with it, and the fact I was careless enough to use f&f, simply because everything ‘seemed’ to check out.
 
So you paid via PP F&F, you are fully aware that you can't get your money back, and you have hopes that someone will give you a solution here?

By doing this, you are even helping to scammers by giving them another scam idea. You even prove it works.

Bad things happen out of good intentions.
 
Open a dispute or contact to paypal with screenshots.they will refund you.

Yes.
That is really frustrating.
Maby people tried to scam me too.
One time I was about to send 100 dollars to someone, he had screenshots and everything(yt channel) then I had an idea.
I send a message to the email on the channel.
The real owner had no idea what I was talking about.
Take and advice from me:
Always be sceptic.

Paypal won’t do anything regarding the money because it was f&f, which I am fine with now. What concerned me with them is that they couldn’t care less about the scammer either and even with me offering to provide them the evidence, so they could investigate they point blank refused and kept referring back to it being paid as f&f

i use bitreffil to buy gift card with crypto i never hold fiat lol
