Scammed by user "Finger Girl"

Last week I ordered some ad content from user Finger Girl. I was suppose to receive 150 craigslist ads for the w4m casual encounter section. After talking briefly with her on PM, I messaged her on aim and she promised she could provide them to me in 32 hours.

I paypal'd over $50 that we agreed on and waited. No response. 48 hours later I contact her and she said she sent them to my email thru Google Apps. I didn't receive them so I asked her to just send me an email and copy/paste the ads in it. Waited another 12 hours, no email. She continues to tell me that she will just post the ads for me (thats not what I wanted....I wanted them to spin using my clbotpro).

Another day or so....promises to send them in a few and signs off aim. I go to send her a PM on here, and it appears all my PMs from her are no longer in my inbox. I tried searching for user "finger girl" with no search results found.

I've been unable to find any of the threads she has posted as well by searching. I'm not sure if this means she deleted her account or was banned or what?

I have filed a dispute with the charge with Paypal.

Edited: Finger Girl messaged me and told me that her disappearance on bhw was not related to dipping out on the ads I ordered (it had something to do with a rule violation) and that the ads are in Google Docs (and she tried sending me them as well) but is unable to access them and is having some sort of problem with her computer again. I have not received anything she has sent me from Google Docs. She promised she would write new ads to me via AIM as we speak. I will update this thread with the results.

I thought there was something off about that user. Now I know what it was, at first I thought she was just a ditz..

Same here...after the first time communicating with her after she claimed the ads were done and she was trying to send them, I had a feeling something was up. If paypal is able to get the $50 back, great. If not, oh well. I found a member with good rep who can write me ads now.

Time will tell - If he / she returns under the same username when the ban is lifted (if that is what has happened) then maybe she / he will explain events). Otherwise the same person might have the audacity to return under ANOTHER username and try the same stunt - or not

ya i just saw her here the day before yesterday. i also noticed something off about her... odd.... usually bhw doesnt delete all posts when someone is banned, it just says banned. maybe all posts get deleted when you cancel your account????

i bet she just cancelled her account and made a new name. if she did email you the ads it would of been in "SENT" box and wouldnt of mattered if her puter messed up or not

UPDATE:

After posting this scam thread, I was contacted by FingerGirl via AIM who promised she would write me the ads out via AIM that night if I removed her name/email from this thread, so giving her the benefit of the doubt...I did. She claimed it was her cousins paypal account and that she didn't want people to think she was suspicious. (mistake #1).

FingerGirl provided me with 15 or so ads that she typed to me on AIM...over a period of 6 hours then told me she had to take a break because she was exhausted. I expressed my need for the ads so she said she would send the rest in 4 hours. 4 hours turned into 4 more days....excuses excuses excuses. I should have upgraded my paypal claim to a dispute so they could investigate right then and there. (mistake #2).

Now it seems she has just disappeared. No ads, no refunds...no nothing. It's $50 lost, but its the point of the matter that pisses me off. Her details:

"We have recently been contacted by a few readers and asked to investigate an individual by the name of Patty Similien also known as Democrat, a domainer. Other aliases she has been known to go by are, Star Similien, StarPowerDomains.com, Starlita Patrice Similien and JAMALG."

"We have also confirmed that the above individual, Patty Similien has a Twitter account @pattysimilien that she has been using to make online deals with other twitter users. The emails we have received total up to 7 separate accusations. These individuals were ?scammed? out of a total of $8,700 combined, as per their emails.
Now here?s the thing, today, only hours ago in fact, Patty Similien made a public blog post confessing to ?have made mistakes in the past? but she further goes on to stating that, wait for it ?I do however don?t make it a habit.? Regardless of that last part being structured funny and making no sense, she?s running, and one thing our readers here know about us is, that we?re great aims."

That sucks, I am sorry to hear that. She also told me she could post ads on CL. I told her I would give her a test run of 5 ads for $5.00 then we would proceed at .45 cents per ad. She could not get one ad to stick, so I tried to help her out just a little bit.

When she told me that she didn't have internet and that she was using coffee house internet, that was it. I did no further business with this woman/man. Complete liar.

It appears that this person has been scamming people for years, including many members of WF in 2007 while pretending to be a lawyer named Alison G, scamming people out of tens of thousands of $$$.
