Here's the story:

A few weeks ago I was looking for a custom bot for CL posting, and he offered his services. He came over as a trusty guy at first and even offered to help me pay for my decaptcher problem so I thought I could trust him. But the bots he supplied me never worked correctly. He kept working and working and he gave himself and told me by this wednesday if it's not done, he'll give a refund. But he didn't, and now I'm $100 down and a hell of a lot more cautious on who to trust here.

I can provide anyone with the bots to show that they are not anywhere near functional. I'm not blocked on his aim, he's not responding to my emails, and I'm pretty pissed. I usually come here and see thousands of dollars lost, and I know this is small, but for a kid in high school, this is a lot.

The funny thing is, he tried giving me bots he bought from here to make up for the non working bot, and tried shoving them down my throat saying I can make more money with them. Avoid him at all costs.

If he is half-assing his work then he is not a developer. He is just a wanna-be trying to make a quick buck, so don't group real software developers with him. I know when I create bots I don't half-assed anything I do even when I am doing it just for me.

I feel sorry the OP was scammed, though F33NY have you seen the price of commercial CL posters? Someone charging you only $100 for a customed made CL poster should screamed "SCAM ALERT" in your mind.
 
LOL $100 for a custom craigslist poster? Either an amazing deal, or he can't deliver.
I mean, I'd expect to pay around 1k to have something decent coded...

Actually scratch that, if it's a simple script to automate just your posting needs it could be pretty cheap.

Good luck with working this out though.

It wasn't fully custom like the commercial bots. It was a ubot program and all it did was the basics of manual posting, on it's own. So I didn't expect the bot to be that much.

But yeah, it's on me. and Now getting the inspiration to get back up is even harder.

Nice. Forgot to mention in our convo it was the beta that didn't even fill out the cityname, so i didn't even use it to avoid wasting posts on my pvas?

I have logs of everything. We did everything. And he offered to have a working bot to me by WEDNESDAY, or a refund will be given. It's thursday, i get on my computer and he blocked me on aim. I can post pictures of the logs if anyone wants it.

Heres a chatlog of when he offered to re-do the bot or give a refund by wednesday (yesterday).

I fucking gave you a new bot on thursday. Ohw and cl changed stuff, damn bro go cry in a corner. I edited it atleast 9 times for you. cause it kept changing.

Today is thursday? I didn't get shit. Stop trying to lie to get out of this. I have logs of every convo we had.

CL changed nothing significant enough to throw off the simplest of manual posters. I still had friends posting on 1 ip for multiple accounts.

From my logs, you barely had any knowledge of CL to even notice a change. I had to tell you the major cities had sub-counties to choose from, and that was all that needed fixing.

P.S I blocked you on aim. Just wanted to inform you of that.
 
I meant Tuesday but sure dude, you contacted me a few hour ago. First wait till someone respond, we have 6 hour time difference. And yes i made you a bot that stopped working after to day's. Then i edited it for free and again and again. Tuesday i gave you the latest to you cause i felt sorry for you because the bot stopped working. But i am not your little slave that responds the second after you send me a mail.

I even helped you out with some other stuff and spend some time with you explaining things. But this isn't very mature. Also i think many people would have said no all ready after 9 edits. But do as you wish. You will only bring more damage toward yourself this way. I will not respond to your threat emails anyway.

But also if i scammed you why did you asked me today to make you another bot?

I sent you one last email a few hours ago saying "Thanks for scamming me :)"

And I believe I asked that to get my $100 worth. for further info, refer to the following logs of emails:

Those are the only 2 emails i sent today. None seem too threatening to the public eye.
