Hi guys,

Since I run a service on this thread and was scammed by this dude, I feel it's my duty to let all of you Sellers out there know about this guy.

This guy sells under the name of Michael Donnely, although his name is really Tushar Patel (I think).

Hey buys services using paypal accounts that causes transactions to be reversed. This enables him to get free services and not pay for them.

He never responds to 3 of the different email addresses I managed to get off of him or PM's.

He hasn't been online since 31 August 2012, has 4 posts to his name and obviously isn't an active member.

Really pisses me off that people would go out of their way to scam people out of money or services. Makes me sick really.

Anyway, ranting just pisses me off and I don't wanna be pissed off today...

Felt I needed to warn you guys out there, since you never know when he will be knocking on your door for a "free" service.

Blessings,

Ruoall

Any proof? You must present a proof to support your accusation like screenshot of email, chat, etc...

Dude, appreciate the comment... but what "proof" will be convincing enough to you?

For all you know, I could just make the "proof" up. What then?

You post screenshots of payment reversals, conversations, etc. Whatever you have, really. No need to be shitty to a member who asked you to post proof, it's part of the standard procedure in this section.

Now, subayrunner has been notified of the thread and has 24 hours to respond.

Maybe this will help you http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/shit-list/117176-shit-list-rules.html

My intentions have not been shitty at all... just saying.

With that being said, I will gladly post proof of whats going on.

First off, I would like to apologize if I came across as a douche. Was not my intention as I was merely trying to make the members on the forum aware of members like these.

I have been a member of this awesome forum for a while now and have so much to give back. With that being said, I apologize profusely.

Ok, so here's some of the proof sofar.

I just need to make it clear again that I am in no way, shape or form doing this other than to try and inform my fellow BHW members about potentially being scammed in future.

It seems I have lost $110 and to some that might not be alot, but it could have been more.

Anyway, so as you will see below he is using different information and is not responding to any of my emails as well as PayPal emails. Maybe he's just not been around, I don't know. The point is that something is up.

Here are 2 orders he placed before completing the transaction. 2 different names, as well as 3 different email addresses. Note that these transactions did not go through in the beginning:

Finally he placed an order.

So here is the PayPal reversal of the transaction 2 weeks later

Here's the case that was opened by PayPal

Numerous notes to PayPal later, it was closed and transaction was reversed

All communication/updates from me to this guy. Not 1 response so far.

I am writing this off as a bad experience as I do not feel its worth pursuing.

I just hope that this does not happen to any of my fellow BHW members.

Ruoall and others, It seems that we've seen an increase in the types of scams this appears to be. I understand it's hard to turn down money that's been offered, but look at the guy's account:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/members/377660-subayrunner.html

He joined BHW and his very first post was to say that he bought your service. That didn't make you suspicious at all?

Honestly, this is just about as risky as buying from an unknown seller who may or may not deliver - and it's hard to turn down what could be good money... but if you accept an order like that, it should be money you accept has a high likely chance of being reversed.

That being said, I'm sorry that you appear to have been scammed. (not saying for sure until the 'accused' has had his chance to rebuttal)

Hi Mate,

Yes I totally understand and I guess its down to my/our own due diligence when dealing with clients.

The problem is though that it's hard to scan through every single order placed not to mention time consuming trying to find out who you are dealing with.

With that being said, I guess the best is to treat it as a "lesson learned".

Hope I could help others through my mistakes.

All the best

subayrunner has been permbanned.

ruoall: I didn't think you were being a douche, you just needed some evidence there. It serves two purposes; it helps me make the proper decision in removing a potentially scandalous member, and it helps educate others who may not have dealt with this kind of situation before. Shitlist threads are great object lessons, for those who pay attention, on how to avoid scams or respond when in the midst of them. I appreciate when people post legitimate shitlist threads because it helps to keep the community cleaner, safer, more informed, and sometimes there is actual positive resolution.

when i make a deal i always search for the nick and check other websites check email etccc

if seller or buyer good we have a deal if its a bit suspicious i prefer not deal

Thanks mate and I appreciate the clarity around this. I have now learned my lesson from this and if I helped a few in the process... then my job here is done :)

Again thank you.

I hear you mate, but its not always possible to scrutinize every person who buys from you.

thats why i wont sell to new members / low post users
not worth the hassle .

How do you stop this from happening?

Do you just put on your BST something like "If you have lower than x amount of posts, dont buy", etc?

Thanks for the heads up though.

yes its on my sales threads.. and writen all over my 3 sales threads in posts as
well , every time some asks to buy my service , if they fall under these conditions
i decline the buy.

1 - new member .
2 - an old account with only a few posts.
3 - an old account that has never purchased anything on bhw b4 that suddenly
becomes active after 1/2 years absent and wanting to buy

everytime a low post member requests a buy on my service i post this

hello there, nothing personal, i do not sell services to 1 post members
weather they are new members, or a user with a 2 yrs old account
and the reason is because a high proportion of scams on bhw are by
low posters with 0 rep, nothing personal, it just cuts down the %
