Scammed by Paypercallguy

If he did have a legitimate excuse for today, then the decision to bail on this has been made a lot easier now that his account is banned. Is his IP banned, or just his account?

I know its probably someone who wasn't gonna pay. But he did post messages to update, and to what end would that be? Seems like a waste of time if you're 100% sure you're not gonna pay.

This sounds an awful lot like you're vouching for the guy. Why did you say this? And if you said this without any reason, maybe be more careful with your words in the future.


EDIT: Sephratas story below does make sense, in which case I do have more support for the ban as this does seem like a lost cause.

I did a bit of research on him last night as I saw he used the email address [email protected] on his JV thread. Google showed that he was trying to also buy a bot (http://network.ubotstudio.com/freelance/project/thumbtack-pro-bot/) which I suspect was to use the same method as used with people on his JV thread here. The YouTube video link certainly seems to confirm this.

I doubt there was ever a 'publisher' or affiliate programme involved in anything he was doing. I suspect his method was to seek local leads in FL for home maintenance by creating fake accounts on Thumbtack, then to message potential customers with a telephone number without providing a quotation and using site credits (is this possible?). It would seem like he has a local database of businesses that he perhaps sells these leads. If this is his 'method', then I cannot see how it would have worked for a whole list of reasons.

There are a lot of small discrepancies in the things he has said via chat to people on here. He mentions to some people about a cheque payment and then a ACH transfer from his 'publisher'. The story about the ACH wire transfer did not make much sense (the timescales, routing number issues etc.) also.

If you look at him as a 'marketeer', it doesn't look like he has had much success based on what's available on the web. He has inactive Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin accounts relating to his local PPCall marketing.

I suspect he had some idea about generating leads, but rather than try it on a small scale to make sure it works then scale it up, he went in with the JV and this is where all his partners unfortunately got scammed here.

Why the fuck would I vouch for that guy ?How many hours you worked for him ?I worked for him like 8 hours each day for straight 20 days.
I was just hoping he wouldn't scam and I did say in warm words intended for him,So he could respond more freely.Why should i vouch for him ?
I lost like 150 hours of my work and couple hundred dollars,based on how many leads I gave him.And you still think I vouch for him.

I tried to get that info from him and he refused to tell me and that was partly why I had issues with him in this as I didn't think there was an affiliate program as I spent some time trying to find one active.
