Scammed by PacketStream for 20$

Well this is unbelievable. However I do see their sales thread still being able to reach on the 'proxies for sale' sub-forum. Will they get removed from there? I kind of parted ways of the idea of getting back my money or getting the data issue fixed with them, I'd appreciate the fact that more people don't get baited to use them.
I don't think anyone wish to initiate a deal with a banned member. Their service are not fake but overpriced.

It would be more better if a notice on top of their sales thread apper stating user is banned and deal with him at your risk,

Wow, they didn't even bother to reply and try to defend themselves.

Anyway they will still be earning money indirectly through this forum, as there is at least one or two packetstream resellers here as far as I know. I'm not sure if I can/should name them, but on one of these providers I started experiencing the exact same issue at the same time the problems started at packetstream (I usually used both these two providers at the same time). Not only that but their proxy format is basically exactly the same as packetstream, so it really seems like a reseller.

You should report them to the administration but you will need clear evidence of the reselling happening. I've reported a few resellers myself and I think it only benefits the marketplace. Reselling without any added value is against BHW rules and I think it's very good, it benefits buyers big time.

Strange they didn't try to resolve this, I was using them periodically over a couple of years, and although not mega recent, the last time I used them I paid about a few cents to test a few page loads of something and never seen any bad activity outside what I used. I just logged in and I still have my balance intact, no funny business. Weird. Good business to no good business happens faster than light sometimes, lol

Hey. Sales threads don't get deleted, but they do get closed after a failed dispute.

I too saw an ungodly surge (almost 9GB where it's usually 1-2GB) per day in billing.

More importantly, the proxies themselves have been garbage recently with many many more Google/Hcaptcha/proxy ban, and various web2.0 registration failures than I've ever seen before.

It's hard to prove this but I suspect we're not exactly getting the "residential proxies" that we're paying for from them at the moment. Bummer, they were once quite good.

It happened to me as well I was like wtf. Trying to figure out why my account got emptied so fast and I was refilling more than ever also a warning. Oxylabs does the same shit too I used 1 gig in less then a few min but I only used maybe 100mb but they said i used 1gig which is bs and they are way overpriced for their shit and too many god damn rules they block a lot of stuff and don’t tell you.

I am an old customer of packetstream, everything started with uploading $100 balance to the site. Balance started to be spent 10x-50x faster, they are real scam!

me as a peer, they ban accounts for no reason, probably for withdrawing more money also they use more bandwidth than they report in dashboard, so ripping off peer

I just started using Packetstream a few days ago via a reseller to test it out. In my case, I consumed around 4GB of data within one hour for just web browsing (no videos).

I am surprised to see this thread as I really liked the idea of their peer to peer network and $1 per GB pricing. Now it looks like I need to find another provider again. If anyone knows a cheap, good quality alternative, appreciate if you could share it with me (perhaps via DM). Thanks all.

I tested a few, and none of them seem to be honest with bandwidth usage. The first provider I used like this was actually packetstream and I was a regular customer up until I noticed that the bandwidth I used on my personal phone didn't match their reporting. From there I had a rough estimate on how much bandwidth I was actually consuming and not one provider reported the same, or close.

It's cheaper to just pay for services that offer unlimited usage for monthly pricing. These days I just use a tethered android device. It's much cheaper and reliable.
