Hello,

Been a long time user, however within the period of a month Packetstream started doing something on their end which leads to way bigger data usage than actually used. Like at least 5 more times. Tried contacting them via email and informed them about intentions of shitlist, they did not try/help to resolve this without me having to open this shitlist. Please advise.

  • Proof that the business transaction began on BHW. A link to the conversation or post will suffice.
I found the service in your forum in this link https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/proxies-for-sale.112/
  • Screenshot proof that you informed the other party of your intention to shit list them 48 hours beforehand.

  • A brief summary of your dispute with the accused (e.g., failure to deliver the product or service)
A month ago they did some changes and the data has been getting used up much faster. I did some basic tests with a script and, for example, if I had several threads running it and used 40 MB, it would get deducted 200MB on their platform or more. They ignore the issue and claim its because their system got better etc. They can't grasp the fact that if I use 40 MB, they can't just deduct 200 MB. There seems to be other people having the same issue as well.
  • What you need from the accused to consider this resolved. Examples include a refund or a replacement.
I've been using Packetstream for a little over a year and besides this I don't have any issues having in mind the price they charge. So I just want them1) to admit the issue & 2) to fix the issue finally. I lost hundreds of GB due to this. This stealing in broad daylight is not something I can tolerate.
  • Please provide as much supporting evidence as you can (e.g., proof that the product or service wasn't delivered, proof that it wasn't delivered as advertised, etc).
In order to prove this, moderator would need to run a few threads on any website and a basic script to calculate the usage and compare to packetstream dashboard to see the discrepancy between those two.

Following with interest, since this has affected me as well as several others in their sales thread. Personally I've had my last two $50 refills consumed ridiculously fast (5-9 GB per day, whereas before it would be maybe 1-1,5 GB, maximum 2 per day).

A month ago they did some changes and the data has been getting used up much faster. Thanks for doing this and opening the dispute @Moroga, as I would have no idea on how to do what you've done here and prove this.

The fact that they are just ignoring all the people complaining in their thread without answering is also very annoying, so I look forward to their answer.

I want them to be punished, I was so happy when I found their site, 50 GB $ 50, I think wow it's very profitable, I started working and was immediately shocked by the fast traffic consumption of 5-10 GB per knock, at first I thought maybe I was to blame for something I checked everything on my side, everything is clean, but 7 GB have already been written off. The main thing is 7-10 GB is written off per day and then the traffic is consumed very slowly, the next day 5-10 GB are written off again and the traffic is consumed slowly, this is a damn scam project.
According to my calculations, 50 GB should have been enough for 2 weeks of work, and I was charged $ 35 in 4 days

I can contribute to this, just recently my usage have gone up unusually higher than before, my usage have been low month-to-month, can’t even think the last time I spent about 3-4gb a month and this January alone I seemed to have spent 5gb in bandwidth.

I am not saying that I have accurate data or test but looking at dashboard and comparing it to my usage just don’t look right.

This happened to me, approximately from the 14th dec. before that was fine, bandwidth consumed was normal. However, starting on that date, bandwidth consumption per day can reach 6-8GB, which was previously only 600-1GB.

Before, i thought it was my fault that the bandwidth was not controlled. and read one of the comments on the official packetstream thread. that they experienced the same thing too.

Interested to see where it goes. It looks like traffic counter is way off.

I've been using their services for the past 9 months, and I just had to refill another $50 after only doing so 14 days ago, this is not acceptable.
On the busiest days, I use no more than 1-2gb, now it's 7gb. There has to be some kind of manipulation or error going on.

Wow, I thought PacketStream was reliable. This just proves you can't trust anyone

sorry for your loss.

About a year back when I used their service I noticed the same, I switched away from their service because of this, my bill from $5-10/day went up to $30-40/day without any reason of technical explanation from my side. I thought it was because of IP quality as my bots auto-rotate bad sessions and as it happens it uses bandwidth but now I guess - it's their business model.

@AlwaysAlan nice to meet you, I wanted to ask, perhaps it would be good to update banned members tagline of the reason, so people would know what did happen to the service provider?

I found this service some time ago and just thought its too good to be true.

Faking bandwidth usage seems like a good way to rip off customers. Safe to say they were not smart enough to make it a little bit less suspicious. Good riddance nonetheless.

Really sad to see such an old provider (and among the first to offer peer-to-peer residential proxies), go into something like this.

I have used them since they appeared on the market, and as @lucky.sparks said, unjustified increased usage happened to me in the past and I silently stopped using them.

How businesses are run these days...

Right? especially when they pay $0.10 to the peer of what they charge $1 from clients.

Well this is unbelievable. However I do see their sales thread still being able to reach on the 'proxies for sale' sub-forum. Will they get removed from there? I kind of parted ways of the idea of getting back my money or getting the data issue fixed with them, I'd appreciate the fact that more people don't get baited to use them.
