I was scammed by the forum member 'noca$h'. The user 'Steven' was selling an Instagram account
*Removed*
Deal started through PMs and ventured to Kik. Logs are below.

... and that is pretty much the gist of it. It continues in circles.

noca$h has been notified he has 48 hours to respond.

I looked through all the images above and didn't see any personal info - but if I missed something, let me know.

The only thing I see is the name of the account within the image. Do I need to edit that or leave it alone?

Thanks for your support as well.

OP, are you sure nocash owns this Instagram account?

In your first link he said he put $650 into building the Instagram:

Then in this link he said he spent $800 to build the account:

I don't know if this will help, but he mentioned in this thread that he was having difficulty building his Instagram, was overpaying for shoutouts, and needed help. Scroll down to post #219:

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...stagram-my-new-mobile-site-goal-50-day-5.html

The account he is selling to you looks pretty healthy. It doesn't look like an account that needs help. He made that comment on November 18th, and the first photo posted to that Instagram was 2 days earlier, on November 16th, and it has 14k likes. Whoever owns this Instagram looks like they know what they are doing.

When I read his comment in that thread, I sent him a PM stating I could help him out with some shoutouts. He wrote back demanding to know the username of the Instagram I would do the shoutouts from and told me to prove that I owned the Instagram. I thought that was odd. Normally, people ask what niche the Instagram is in to see if it is a match for them, before they even bother looking at the Instagram itself. I didn't respond after that and I didn't give him my username. I got the impression he wanted to see usernames so he could possibly pass them off as his own.

Holy crap. I may have just threw away $400 due to my own ignorance and not paying attention to detail.

"a friend of mine is actually selling it" / the money spent on shoutouts could possibly be a misunderstanding or an update as to the current investment.

However, on the last PM when I was attempting to verify that he is the rightful owner he sent the name and we continued to converse using his Kik. It could be a ploy to perform a whaling attack.

I have this account > message me on the kik > deal conducted he splits profit > scammed?

Well, the guy was aptly named. noca$h = No Cash

Another child allowed to do business on BHW. Raise the age limit, add age verification + sign up fee for all accounts.
Too easy for these kids to scam, they are young and don't care/comprehend the consequences.

A handle means nothing. I guess this 17 year old kid might have thought it was cool. I definitely agree with you concerning age verification and sign up fee.

Regardless I didn't scrape his threads and replies enough to begin with. When I mentioned using a middle man I should have stuck to my intention. Bite the bullet on this one.

Lesson learned!
