Scammed $4500 on flippa What should I do

That sucks so bad. I got scammed $25 yesterday and I was ready to quit. You just lost 4 grand. Jesus christ, i'm so sorry man. I really hope you get your money back.

When it sound too good to be true, then it is!

The only options that u hv is to file a cb with your bank. You bank will support you and reverse the charges, this will make ppal reverse the charges from the scammer and probably limit/froze his account.

Do it right and get all your facts, evidences, corresponding emails etc ready.... I will extra mile by publishing his name and link to ripoff websites etc to help others

Oh GOD, $4500 :O I'm really sorry for the loss. Call paypal and explain everything or contact with a lawyer.
 
ask flippa for help. Had almost the same situation with paypal, lost ~500$. Paypal was in scammer's favour and did not help at all.

Flippa = a scam 99.9% of the time. Build the site yourself and have the satisfaction of working your way up.

Uh whoever said Paypal doesn't protect sellers of Digital Goods is wrong. I've had customers do charge backs hundreds of times after sending Twitter Followers, Instagram Followers, and FB Likes and after I call Paypal and say I told the customer about Paypal not giving refunds for Digital Goods I have won literally 100% of my disputes.
 
Also I was going to try to list a few domains valued at over 100k but it looks like to me the only thing selling on Flippa is POS sites with bought traffic and fake income reports lol. Maybe I will just start selling those.
 
I had the same thing happen to me, I lost thousands of hard earned dollars trusting these guys. I learned a couple things; the new websites are junk, usually copies they sell over and over, some affiliate sites were flagged on Facebook and Google Adsense so forget advertising it. The main thing I learned is if it looks to good to be true then it probably is a scam. Why would anyone sell a website that is earning them income. They always have some excuse like, my partner died, or I do this for a living, or moving on to bigger projects is the most popular reason I seen. It makes me sick that these guys continue to get away with it over and over again. I emailed Flippa and got no response from them, which sealed the deal for me, I will stay far away from that place.

You confirmed he sent the files over but then listed the domain name for sale.

Well if I have got this right you never sent him the second half of the payment. ..... so who's scamming who here?

If you never sent the final part of the payment then he has every right to resell the domain since according to him YOU are the scammer since you now have the site and only paid half the amount.

There are two sides to every story. Read both.
 
Why don't you share with us his name and listing, as people asked you few times. Suspicious to me.
 
It also doesnt make sense that the domain is for sale/parked at sedo when it was making money :D

But I got one great thing from this thread. This is so truly amazing:

If you can figure out a way to make $12.32 a day, you'll earn back $4500 in a year. Probably your best option right now.


Now what if you make $50, $100 or $500 every day.... :-)
 
If you have only paid half the money to the seller for the files use the other half to buy the domain of sedo. That way you still get what you paid for and for the same price.
