Scam the scammers

This sounds pretty risky, a shade below carding in my opinion. I'm just wondering how recently this has been attempted by the op?

I know various people have been doing this since the early 2000s and I would be kind of surprised if it still works today.
It does. A group of Russians got arrested recently doing this. I get these emails daily

I wont to try to mess with CCs and banks yet, too risky. Any idea regarding how can these be implemented to earn some PayPal or AlertPay cash? :)

Haha , I actually thought about doing something like this like a year ago. I still haven't cause I'm a little afraid for the consequences. And you do make it sound to easy to get a hold of such a bank account. I'm sure it takes a lot of work to find one idiot that will allow you to use his account , even if it is a backpacker ...

I do believe the junkie approach might work , or I read about using students that are about to leave the country also.

Still an interesting concept, one I would really consider when I get into money trouble

this is a funny thread

(im from the UK)
i posted an ipod for sale in Gumtree a few months back - and i got some strange emails asking me to send the item to kenya if they could pay me through paypal... so I said ok, send me the payment first...

and i got a notification of Paypal, saying that I recieved some money, but they were going to hold the payment until the buyer recieved the item...

needless to say, i didn't bother sending it because I knew that the buyer would claim that he never recieved it!

I then sold the ipod on eBay, and the person who bought it claimed that they never recieved the item, so paypal took my money..

moral of the story? Paypal is the weapon of choice for scammers.

Yeap PayPal did the same thing to me years back. They limited my account, gave my money than closed my PayPal

It's funny how one person's scam, is another person's method or niche.

this isn't safe at all... gud lck op keep doing and bump this thread if u get caught... :)

now i consider myself a person with larger-than-average balls. However, they're not nearly large enough to touch this

hey i got one of the emails before and theree pretty convincing .. what if someone legitimately used there own bank account without knowing .. n got busted wouldnt they be able to plead ignorance .. (a lil to risky for me just curious)

I know people are scared but you are the one getting scammed.
It's not like those scammers are going to the police and say "hey we were about this rip this guy of instead he took our money!"

But yuo have to use fake info because the bank will reverse or block the account when it finds out the money didn't came from legal sources.

If you can fake your information you can keep doing this and you don't have to play dumb because they don't have your information.

With the people asking who this will do well you gonna have to cross to the dark side a bit if you wanna make money fast with this.

People in serious debt will do anything same goes from drug addicts. best guess would be finding some junkie because they probably will be out of it anyway just give him some money to support his habbit and voila.

Banks ship the atm cards so you are going to have to find a house/apt also

seems like a lot of work, the best way to scam a scammer is a fud keylogger, get there paypal and rinse it,

How do you get the money out of paypal?
Seems like the victim would contact paypal and get the charge reversed and you're caught.

I just reread this thread for the first time since I wrote it.

You guys think I'm an evil criminal!

I'm not evil. I promise. I was just desperate. Read the post. I was about to lose my house because of a business going under. Not an internet business, but an actual shop that I had over $300,000 invested in.

Now thats the reason I didn't care much about $1100 or $600. When you've got until the end of the month to come up with 10K, and no other income, $1000 aint goint to help (unless it's on a 10/1 shot)

I didn't touch on the method for getting backpackers cards too well. You all seem to doubt me there as well. As you all think I'm evil anyhow, I'll admit to being a dirty druggie. The trick was to keep rolling J's and throwing around the weed all night. Let them think you are a pot dealer/grower and want the bank account to hide your ill gotten funds. Why else would you want it? You're a great guy - you've been blowing them out all night.

And there is no way I'd ever do this again, unless I was equally desperate.

Because I'm a respectable family man.

the scammers aren't sending you $xxxx of their own money. it's most likely coming from something like a compromised bank account, and they're using your account to wash the money.

basically $xxxx was illegally moved from some random person's bank account into your bank account, and then you kept the money. and somehow you've convinced yourself that this isn't stealing.

what you're saying here is, it's perfectly ok to steal as long as you're desperate.

why is this crap even on the forum.

If you reread the thread you would notice that 2 people already mentioned that

Would not touch it with a 40 feet pole. Too risky.. Can we hire Nigerians to scam the Russians though? :D

On a related note - what is the easiest way to get revenge for someone scamming you through paypal with the "digital delivery" answer to a dispute?

that sounds way to risky, I would never do that no matter how desperate you are there are thousands of ways to make money with out feeling like your going to get caught!
