Just sold a site on flippa but the guy told me he is unable to pay me through paypal as he keeps getting an error anytime he tries to make a payment, He told me he had contacted paypal and will let me know what they say, so this is what he sent me:
"I got replay from paypal. At the moment I am in the different country, so they do not accept payment and holding my money on their account. From their email I can sugest I can do nothing about it. I have few hundreds dollars on my paypal account, just unable to use. Do not know what to sugest. I wrote an angry email to paypal but don't think it will help while I am not in the country of residence.
I do not want to back off from purchase. Just looking for other ways to pay. I can pay from credit or debit card. Just funds on my cards are British pounds (GBP). Hope this should not be a problem.
Here is thye replay I got from paypal:
Thank you for contacting PayPal. I've reviewed your PayPal account and can confirm that the payment
you're referring to has been stopped by our internal security system.
To provide one of the safest online payment services our internal
security system reviews every payment before it's approved.
Occasionally, we must stop a payment. This is similar to the way banks
and credit card companies work when approving payments. When a payment
is stopped, it's not a reflection of you or your account activities, but
rather we've noticed a pattern associated with higher-than-normal risk.
I can't give you more detailed information as to why our security system
has stopped your payment, nor am I able to override or manually change
the security settings. Please be assured that this is a standard
procedure for all payments going through PayPal and it's carried out in
accordance with our User Agreement.
Here are some things that you can do that may help:
? Clear your cache and cookies or try a different web browser
? Attempt to make the payment from a different card
? Attempt to make the payment at a different time
? Ensure that you are making your payment from your country of
residence. If possible attempt to complete the payment from your home
computer or the computer you most frequently use to access your PayPal
account.
We regret any inconvenience this may have caused and we advise that you
contact your seller and inform them why the payment has not been
completed yet. If the seller accepts payments through PayPal they will
be familiar with your situation.
Thank you for choosing PayPal and have a great weekend"
This is very strange as I have never had any problems with paypal before, what do you guys think is he trying to scam me or is it just me? should I accept a payment by debit or credit card?
Thanks in advance for all your help!
