So, I've been thinking...

Everyone is talking about the contract that Joe Rogan just signed with Spotify that is going to bring him $100+ million over the term of the contract.

This is obviously a great deal for Joe Rogan, but I think what most people are missing is that Spotify, which is one many audio streaming services that exist today, can afford to pay just one guy that much money to license his show without even owning it.

Now, I understand that he runs one of the best podcasts, but he is still just 1 guy out of many people even in his niche. Spotify makes deals with dozens if not hundreds of people that are worth hundreds of millions or even billions.

This brings me to my point. If you want to make money online or even in any other line of business, don't try to be Joe Rogan. He s the best of the best and it's not like any of us will be able to repeat his success. There are many great podcasters who create quality products, but most of them are not as successful in terms of capitalization as Joe Rogan.

Try to be a micro version of Spotify instead. Spotify's market cap is $26 billion. If you can capture a tiny fraction of Spotify's market share it may be enough to make you a very wealthy person.
