Not retiring on it but when you're doing a new project in a market you don't know it's always nice to see it working a little.
Added further detection for proxy issues. The quicker I can detect accounts having issues the quicker I can stop encoding videos for that account so it doesn't waste time.
Running some further tests on a more scalable model. Aiming for less reliance on individual proxies or providers. If this works I should be comfortably able to reach the first milestone and the traffic will (hopefully) be more stable. I should get some of these results back tonight/tomorrow and I'm hoping to see some good results.

New cloud based setup works. I can deploy as many servers as needed to scale.
Massively scaled the account setup for one site. Running a couple of tests for a day or two but then I should be able to double the number of accounts within an hour.
Having a bit of problems with one of the other sites. They don't like any of the proxies I've tried so far so I can get around them on a small scale but it'll take a little more testing to scale properly.

There's still a bug with the video encoding randomly taking 24-48 hours rather than a few minutes which is causing a real bottle neck in the system.
Thought I'd found it but apparently not.
Working on scaling another project today but it's going to have a pretty good benefit to the scaling of this one. I've been a bit caught up recently but probably tomorrow I'll be returning to this project to scale it properly.
It's made a few conversions but I've just been working on a couple of different projects at once. I'm about finished with 3 others and leaving them to run for a while so I'll be switching back to focusing on this properly.

I'm not making the time lately to work on this properly. Too many projects on at once just now.
Had a couple of conversions but nothing decent yet. I'm (finally) making some time to scale things now. Improved the content source and spreading more over different accounts now. Reduced another bottleneck in the system and setting up a bunch of new niches this week.
Stil have a bug in the code to track down with the encoding times. It causes a real delay and it's not something I really want to work on while I'm sitting in an office. I'll hopefully catch it this week.
There's also a proxy issue with some tube sites. It looks like I got lucky early on but, for the most part, they spot most of my proxy sources making scaling a little tougher on some sites.

I've been so caught up in different projects that the encoding bug has been plaguing me for weeks. Looks like I finally patched it yesterday so I'm leaving it to run for a while now. It converts from time to time but I'm going to leave this for a fortnight or so now and I'll come back with the traffic numbers and work out the next move.

It's not unusual for me to take on more projects than I can chew but my latest one has taken all of my time the last couple of weeks so I've got nothing done on anything else.
Traffic is holding pretty steadily at 100 or so hops a day. Uploading has stopped because I've maxed out my server usage everywhere at the moment with other things but I'm going to try and make some more time for this project this week to finally stamp out the encoding issues and put it on a new server.
I did pick up some residential proxies which I'll need to test out with this project as well since I've been on data centre ones up until now,

The existing traffic has made about $70 profit for October so far. I've been crazy with other projects lately but I did have a look at this one again this evening to see if I could get it running again.
The problem I hadn’t predicted is that the majority of the traffic comes from a small number of sites and those sites have already fingerprinted all my proxy ranges before I even get to them. The few which worked do bring in traffic but scaling is going to require more expense and testing with proxies so this project is probably done for now.

I usually base my project priority on scalability and profit. This looks like it'd take too much time testing proxies for it to be worthwhile at the moment. Maybe I'll get back to it when I have more time.

This broke over $100 profit for October though in that entire time it saw thousands of unique hits and 0 new leads. Not entirely sure why that many bots would follow those links but hey.
I’m considering setting something up with some custom 4G proxies but it’ll be next month before I have a chance to set things up properly.

I see you have many different journey threads that split your time into many different fields and there is a common theme that you don't have time to do this project but will tinker with it in the future. I assume you have a lot more profitable projects going on that these then. Wouldn't it be more reasonable to focus on like 2 or max 3 of your best projects and scale them up to infinity rather than waste your time with tinkering with random projects?

Your assumption is correct. I have projects I don't talk about here because either they're profitable and I don't want the competition or they flop before I even make the time to start a thread.
As for your question - it sort of depends.
Some projects don't have infinite scaling opportunities. Some I build as a proof of concept to see if it's worth taking further or scaling. I start a lot of projects up and then leave them running a while to see how viable the basic proof of concept is looking. In the last 48 hours alone I've started up three new bot systems (no joke). If one of them work out and look promising I tend to forget the rest and focus on that for a while.
I liked this project because it was different but realistically there's only so much it could be scaled. The money it's making will cover the time I put into it eventually but I don't have the proxies to push it further at the moment so I'm moving on to other things.
I've actually used that line a lot lately. My girlfriend is very foreign to the kind of work I do and keeps asking if I'm sure a project is going to work while I'm hiring VA's or spinning up servers. If I'm going to fail I might as well fail fast so I can move on.

I'm assuming there are bots looking over the sites for domains in the title or description which have enough views and have expired because I do see a lot of bot traffic and I doubt it's all spiders. Decent enough idea I guess.
It is pretty much as updated as it's likely to get. I might look at setting up a mobile proxy setup when I'm visiting family for Christmas and then I could take it a bit further but for now I don't have anything running.

Alright. Maybe time for an update here. I was flicking through some of my older journals and remembered this one. Checked in on the CPA network and there's a little over $450 there. This ran about 8 months ago and really needed a major bug to be fixed but it's still getting residual traffic and it hasn't run in months.
I know how to deal with the old bottleneck bug since I've lately had to fix something similar. I'll need to make some time to see if I can get around the proxy limitation I ran into before and see if I can scale this.
