Please let me know if this has been hit on before, I don't want to sound like a broken record.

Well, with the new version of scrape box the commenter you don't have to select which type of blog you have to comment on, which means you could scrape for all blogs that are supported with the fast commenter, then load them all and let 'er rip.

Well why not just scrape all of the different type of blogs at the same time? Time is money, right? Well, I didn't find this anywhere else, and I'm not saying it hasn't been thought of before, but BHW has provided me with some great info before so I figured there's no reason to keep this a secret...

Select custom footprint in scrapebox, of course, and use this along with all of your keywords:

"powered by wordpress" | "Powered by MovableType" | ""Powered by BlogEngine.NET" | "powered by b2evolution"

Works great for me to get all of the blogs supported by the fast poster at the same time.

Nice, I think you can also use the OR statement in-between the footprints for each individual platform

like

"powered by wordpress" OR "powered by blogengine" OR "powered by b2evolution"

etc

this method of harvesting does take much longer though compared to a single platform harvesting session, just a heads up
 
I too used the OR method, and it works great, indeed it will take a lot longer, but who cares if you get a lot more results? :)
 
Nice method but I like keeping my lists separate for some reason.

well, the pipe character is usually considered the boolean equivalent for OR ...

Maybe if you spent less time focusing on a meaningless number in the top right hand corner
of your forum profile and more time reading and learning, you'd have better things to share
than searching google for "powered by wordpress". My grandma learned that one 5 years ago,
and she's been dead for 20 years.
 
There's a typo in the code above, make sure you don't copy it directly ^^
 
Is it not better to run 4 separate instances rather than one instance for all 4 of these footprints at once as Scrapebox's url harvester is limited to 1 million urls?

By running 4 separate instances you can get up to 4 million across the different blog platforms, depending on your keywords.

Tried and tested. It doesn't work as effectively.

What I mean is you'll get lesser blogs as opposed to scraping an individual blog type.
