''I stopped by best buy this morning as soon as doors opened. I got on the computers that are on display and set all the browser homepages to a best buy email offer. In total i made $226.52 today. Has anyone tried this method out yet?''

Wow good idea, the only problem, would be the same IP, you should contact the affiliate manager, and ask if it is ok to promote offline, making people fill up the offer from same pc.

haha that's both hilarious and pretty fucking cunning.

However I could see some problems with follow through after the first page conversion, not many people are going to stand around in Best Buy filling out page after page of crap.

Isn't an email offer just submitting your email?

I have a few CPA offers that are zip submits, but I doubt you make $2.00 just for a zip code...Dunno. I'm new to this and don't want to fill out my own offers to test them.

LMAO I did this when I was marketing my white hat site awhile back in an Apple Store. Since joining the dark side it's time to cpa it up! Here I come stores...hmmm and maybe Cell Phone stores mobile offers...

You get paid on the first or second page conversion (ie. filling in the email address or zip, or possibly some more info on the second page). However statistically the advertiser expects a certain percentage of your traffic to keep on going and filling out the third, fourth, fifth pages etc of their offer and a small percentage will follow it through to the end and get out the credit card.

People standing in the Best Buy display area are unlikely to follow through to the subsequent pages, thus the advertiser will consider your traffic to be bad quality and will scrub your leads down to the point where they think they'll be profitable.

Not a bad idea but the things mentioned above could cause a problem. Same IP and lead conversion.

Why not twist it like this:

Create your own landing page and have an email opt in so you can send them the offer to their email where they can fill it out at their leisure. You could even set the homepages for different offers... Ipad, Iphone, ect. A submit offer for a laptop would be awesome as well.

Im thinking about doing this. Free Macbook Air,on the Macbook Airs, free Dell laptop on dell laptops. :)

Really isn't a terrible idea, makes me think of changing the home pages on almost any public use computer. Hmm...

I tied this today. Went to BestBuy,and set all the homepages to my affiliate link. Tried to test it, and it said it was blocked because of advertising.

this is a good twist in my opinion

thats ballsy! I like it. It reminds me of the time when I was young and using DOS. Office max would find their computers mysteriously wiped clean due to my format c: command. lol. If only I would have found your post, I would have had a better idea to use on those open computers.

you can use the phones in apple to fill out mobile offers and get paid :D easy money like that

Yeah, Right, 100-150 leads some same few IPs, and like AM's Wont Ban you.

Need to rotate offers from diff networks.
