Saving your server from compounding AJAX requests?

Using a plugin called Search & Filter Pro here that throws parametres on to my search and filtering that resets and rescans database every time a select or search submit is completed;

I've already got a perfect permalink structure, all this is doing is making my optimised pages useless and my bandwidth hike

while ruining the flow of my URL's for UX...

Is there anything I can do about this? I've tried setting taxonomy URL settings using Permalink Rewrite's with no change either as that's in ACF config, and that's what S&F keeps messing with;

If I get my Cloudflare set up to only accept traffic through certain access points, could I lock something like this down?
