Saving posts vs comments for better engagement?

Just wanted to see if anyone had some insights. What would be more beneficial if you're trying to get a post to go viral? Comments or post saves, or would they both have the same type of weight to them?

I saw a post about engagement groups liking and saving rather than liking and commenting, so I'm intrigued to see if anyone's noticed anything about that theory?

commenting is more engaging so instagram will naturally reward that more.

the reason the groups switched from commenting is most likely because their low quality comments were leaving a big footprint.
