I am currently having trouble uploading .csv lists. I create the lists in OpenOffice and save as .csv but whenever I upload them I get errors. Does anyone know any free alternatives to excel to make .csv files or know what the problem might be?

Both I guess. I save it as .csv and it says "Only the active sheet was saved". It is still a .csv file though and uploading it I get a error.

By default in Excel or Open Office, there are 3 sheets open. I know that in Excel you simply need to close those sheets. They're tabbed at the bottom.

So just close those sheets and you'll be good ;)

that fixed my error for saving it but still when I try to upload it I get either "Please check back soon and try uploading your contact file again.
Click here to go home." or it works and when I click send invites it goes to a white screen.

Simply download a cracked version of the newest microsoft office. Works like a charm for me.

Are you adding your contacts into a column and not a row?

Better off searching for the Enterprise "Blue" Edition ;)

If you are uploading the CSV to gmail you need it in this format:

Email address:
[email protected]
[email protected]
...

one email per line, but the first line must start with Email address:

If you have a plaintext file with email addresses one per line, just add them in Excel (no matter the version) in the format I told you and save them as .CSV.

Ok I am using excel and I am still having this problem. This is what my list looks like and this is the error. Also even though I upload them and I get a error after a couple of tries it says I have uploaded too many files and i can't upload anymore for a few hours or days.

Maybe the formatting is your problem.

Try removing the Name and email ID rows.

Also, try placing the emails in the first column.

P.S. You can also paste all the emails in notepad and simply save it as contacts.csv; works the same and no cell formatting to worry about.

Now many rows do you have in the .csv document? I have also this problem. When i upload a document with 6000 rows i get this error once and after i upload again no error. If i try to upload an document with 8000 rows i get this error twice and than i can upload it.
