I'm 19 years old and just realized what I made so far online, that takes 21 years of hard work for the average people in my country...

What do I have now? A car, some cool stuff and a rented flat... I can't believe i was stupid like that... I could have an own house now, and a lot of money in the bank that would be enough to live years without doing anything.

I like to spend my money... big problem, i have to change.

Do you guys have a similar problem? Or im the only stupid one here? :D

Sell the car, sell the cool stuff and you get some money back.. :) No but good thing u started to think on saving them. I put most money i make in IM into IM..
 
You can't take it with you. Enjoy some and save some. Balance is good.

and lol at the guy above saying to sell your car, unless you never use it a car is one of the most worthwhile things a person can buy
 
Yes, I take about ~10% of the profit I earn from IM and but the rest back into funding different projects. You gotta have some "reward" for all the time and effort we put into IM.

I am not a big fan of selling possessions though...
 
We all have that problem mate. First thing I did when I got into the big money online was started blowing it on dumb stuff.you look back and you wish you hadn't. lesson learned ,save your money,don't waste it.reinvest into your projects.grow your income.
 
Like every making money book says, Spend only 20% of your income and invest 80%. But invest wise. Don't spend nothing bigger then 20%.
 
I believe that if you spend it all, just make more :)

Started on ebay when I was 17, did 75g USD/year. Spent it ALL in college, all 160g (after tax) and went into debt. Totally worth it, I was driving an S4 and had a decent studio in NY. Guess what I did? Started doing MORE IM (isn't that what we're all doing here? finding new ideas everyday?). Dedicated my nights do it while working a day job (engineering), I'm 23 now and i'm hitting 6 figures a year from IM alone, not including my job. Guess what? I'm spending even more now, but I'm not that extravagant.. I spend around 60% of it and putting 40% back into the biz.

Saving is a good idea, but we're young, so f**k it.

EDIT: had to look up my PayPal receipts to find out how much I did when I started. Couldn't remember.

Spend all you can on what you want. If it's a house you want save money for it and after you buy it just save or spend your money on the next thing you want that makes you happy.

If you save just to have money you will be a billionaire by the age of 60. What will you do then? Spend it on things that make you happy? Why wait when you can do it now?

EDIT: Just wanted to add that it's not a problem to spend money, money was made to be spent. You can even gamble IF YOU LIKE IT and you can control yourself (I can't so I don't gamble anymore). People today are too attached to their money. I'm not saying it's not important but it's not what makes you happy, it's what you can do with it that does.

IF you just save and don't waste money at all - what's the point of being rich?
You should invest some, save some, and WASTE (and i mean waste on useless things that you like and that give u pleasure)

wasting money is one of the top reasons i am working online and earning good money
i can save and not waste money even being poor. not necessary to be rich to do that
 
What you guys say are really true...

I was thinking a little bit and there are two ways for me: save money so I can buy a house, can put some money in the bank (no more fun... :( ) OR scale the mthfking business, spend even more than I spend right now (lot of fun, oh yeaah) and buy dat house in a month if I want, and buy a better car :P and still I could even save a lot of money this way...

I think I'll choose the second option. :)

You guys gave me inspiration, I don't want to save money when I could enjoy it while im young, I don't even know how much will I live... so why not enjoy life while I can? This is what IM about, this is the freedom.

I know for a fact: acheving the impossible is POSSIBLE. All I needed is some inspiration I guess.

Im 18 and i have been doing this for 4 months now. I made $5 in all. I used a dollar on myself and put $4 back.

To every young kids out there. Save your money.. spend only with what you need..
 
i say blow your money as fast as you can until the age of 22. When you're old and grey you'll be remembering the fun times of your youth not how conservatively saved.
 
atleast you don't have a drug problems ?
spending money is not a problem if you have the money to spend !
 
The more money you save in bank, the more money US will have to print.
The more money US will print, the less valuable your savings will be.

Save the world, spend your money. :-)
 
It is not uncommon for me to end up skint by the end of the month, and I should not, I guess we have the same problem.

I'm 19 and prefer % based savings, save 30% for future, 70% for now :P These are your good years, from 18-30 is the best time your going to have, don't waste it :P
