Satellite websites and Pros/Cons

Hello BHW,

I was wondering if EMDs still are a good tactic to use for satellite websites. My strategy is to simply be seen and heard everywhere on the web, total domination and not just focusing one 1 channel, however the time has come to solve the satellite puzzle and whether to go down that road or not.

I have a few EMDs and my plan was to launch WP sites for them and drive traffic to my money site (web store), another alternative would be to create a new web store using these domains. However I would rather create new sites from scratch or if possible find a expired domain for the new stores and focus on the brand. Any feedback which route to take is welcomed and also a short explanation why you think so.

I have both PBN and GSA, and bit puzzled how to build links for these satellites if they are just gonna drive traffic to the money site and also authority due to being EMD domain. Any feedback here would also be appreciated as im sure many people are in my shoes at the moment.

I'd recommend not using satellite sites at all. EMD's, although still powerful, are not what they used to be anymore + you're looking at an over-optimization nightmare if you don't know exactly what you're doing. If total domination is what you want, create authority using just one domain. This will help focus your SEO efforts. Add a blog to your money site and create posts with your desired keywords. In low competition niches you'd want to go with one, max two keywords per post using on-page to get it to rank and links if necessary. If the competition is high try making longer posts with more keywords. That way your links can point at the same page making it more powerful. Satellite sites will dilute your efforts, focus on your money site and its authority. Once you gain momentum it'll be easy enough to outrank EMD's using just posts with good on-page and maybe a single link depending on your niche.

I already have thousands of words (category description) in my webstore incorporated in a very slick way. Throwing up WP sites and writing a few hundred word about something would be pretty to do. I thank you for your opinion and information.
