Hi,

i recently purchased an aged domain and got ranked later after 1 week on 150 or so...

then i got some backlinks and ranked 100... 2 weeks later 79 (top10 is pr5-pr6)

and one day after i ranked 79 my site jumped from 79 into "nowhere" not in the top 1000.. i am still building links on weekly basis since 2 weeks but it is not coming back.

should i continue building links or you think the site is lost ?

maybe give it a week or two if you dont regain your position. Then you are probably sandboxed

Thanks for your reply.

anything else ???

Make sure to get relevant links in your niche. Add some fresh unique content. Bet you forgot the content part. :)

I would keep blasting it with new links. Make sure your content is good. If content is too thin then this will directly affect your sites ability to rank. More than likely you are just bouncing around. This happens with new sites (even if the domain is aged) and with new backlinks. Over time this will settle down. Even if it was sandboxed the solution is to keep adding backlinks and content. When you come out you will be way ahead.

Sandboxed sites are temporary, so keep doing what you are doing and it will eventually come back and when it does come back, it usually comes back twice as strong.

When I see one of my sites disappear, I jump for joy b/c I know when it comes back it will dominate the rankings.

My site has been "sandboxed" for about 3 weeks now. Is that normal? Or does that mean its gone :(

i think it is just an effect and it will come back as long you continue building backlinks on regular basis and keeping link velocity
