Ok... My site has been sandboxed for 3 weeks now. My URL is 3 months old. I was a PR-0 last week, now my site is a PR-3 (just updated this weekend). I guess Google pays no attention to sandboxed sites when ranking websites?

How do you know that your site is sandboxed?
Is the site no more indexed in google?

If I do a site: myurl then I can find my site on page 3. However, I was ranked for over 30 keywords, now I'm ranked for "0". So technically not de-indexed, but not showing up for any keywords (including non competitive keywords).

WOW I have never heard of that. You're not deindexed, you're just not ranking for any keywords that you previously ranked well for? Correct? Well, I think you're site may have been penalized but not sandboxed. Just continue to add good content, build backlinks slowly, and you should see a change within a few months.

Yeah.. I agree, this happens. May be cuz u made the backlinks very fast. This happned with my frnd. But the site came back in a few weeks.

mate you need to do site:domain not site: domain with a space... Easiest way to check if your indexed.

I just did site:mydomain I'm actually listed for all my pages???? Makes it even more frustrating!

You should be back in a decent position in no more than 3 months time. Steadily and slowly build backlinks during this period to see yourself appear at a better position when the sandbox effect wears off.

Thanks... I will do that!

just wanted to add that the same thing happened to my site. The URL is about 7 months old. It was ranking 7-20 on Google for most keywords. Now it doesnt even rank for ANY keywords. not even the domain name (without the.com)

However site:mydomain.com still has all our pages indexed.

I have been adding backlinks last month (several hundred at most) but I was hoping that my site will come back in the rankings within the next few weeks. Also pr went from 0-2 just this last update.

Anyone know any more details please??

Hi guys, it looks like you experiencing the same problem as me. Traffic is way down for all of my of newer domains (2-4 months old) and some older domains (> 4 months old) are still doing great. Sites that receive way less visitors are characterized by:

- the number of indexed pages hasn't changed (site command);
- the domains still attract some visitors from first and second page SE listings;
- the 'domain.com' query returns the domain as the first result;
- domains are 2-4 months old

For more info see this topic: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo/188606-anyone-experiencing-sharp-decline-google-traffic-since-weekend.html

Lets hope we get them going strong in a while..

My site was raking as well and got hit for only 3 weeks but after this pr update im solid again getting the masses from the big G

ok i just dug deeper and found my kw ranking at #845 . Seems like this can be the case for the rest of you guys as well. Can this be the 950 penalty?

What is your site doing? G wouldn't just penalize you... Trackback spam?

can this happen to only one page?

or in the case of one page ranking good first, then going down a lot, it's just ordanary Google dance?
