Sandboxed is real:(

It seems like it is different for many people, and maybe they are doing changes in there evaliation i dont know but it will be very interesting in the near future....

try writing some new content and posting it regularly this will help with getting out

What does google consider the "birth" of the site when factoring sandbox effect? When first included in index? domain age?
How does expired domain that prevously had content, but lapsed for xx number of months factor in?

It usually not happens but if it is happening please change a little on your content it means there is some problem in OP.. please check the keyword stuffing it would be defiantly on top ranking after you solve your site..

SO after have had my webpage on No1 page for months and for the last week on No1 now it started to dance again, I updated the webpage yesterday and this morning it started to dance, this is not the right time, just before cristmas I need it to stay on no1 well just have to keep it up and never give up...

Now this is very interesting,

Two of my adult sites(both over 2 yrs old) hit the top 5 on the first page around July for about 10 keywords after 3 strong moths of link building, stayed for a few weeks and then fell back between page 5-10 for 2 keywords (the rest off the charts).

After another few weeks of link building I left them alone for 3 or so months and then decided to throw up about ten links for one of the sites last month. A few days after doing this, the site I did not touch comes back fully with every keyword in the exact spots they left in July. A few days later the site I added a few links to, does exactly the same thing and I thought oh shit watch this thing tank in a week or two again.

So , a few days later the site that I threw the links up to goes back again to the exact same spot in came from with only 2 keywords showing somewhere around page 8 or so and the site I did not touch has been solid now for over a month.


What to do, what to do next.....
I am not gonna touch the good site that is solid now unless it takes a big drop again, but I am not sure what to do with the other one, either wait it out for another 3-4 months or link build again.

Maybe I will wait a month and see if the good one is still strong, if so then I will wait it out with the thought I am in penalty again and if I let it be it will come back strong without touching it.


Adult sites are tricky, much easier to slam a regular site with tons of blog comments ect.. and move up the google serp without penalty as compared to adult from my experience.

well now suddenly my page dropped from page 1 to page 20, this after my update after christmas, any advice how to avoid this? maybe should stop updating the webpage?
i stil build backlinks with sb and senuke so it should be back on top soon, in a few weeks i guess.... any advice???

People in here are dumb, they are spamming backlinks like crazy when they even aren't indexed. If you want a steady income, i suggest you do some planning and think ahead. Creating a website that makes money takes some time, don't expect to rank nr 1 because you spammed like crazy. It's all about quality backlinks, and domain-age. And good content (which already seems hard for some here).

This is google dancing.

Depending on your niche, the competition may fluctuate a lot due to all the new content being indexed.

The sandbox is not happening to you because of backlinking, it's happening because of the relevancy of your content to the keyword you're trying to rank for.

I hate to ask this, but do you have your keyword in the title tag? You'd be surprised how many people forget this. It's the first thing G looks at and it'll keep dancing until you put it there.

Ha yeah sandbox is definitely real, it happens to me fairly often. The good thing though is that it is only TEMPORARY, in the long run, you will actually end up higher. You should consider it an honor that you were building enough backlinks to even get sandboxed

Continuing to consistently build backlinks and produce fresh unique content will help get you out sooner. If you are absolutely desperate, there is one thing that is always guaranteed to work 100% of the time: buy a new domain and redirect each individual page on your sandboxed site to a corresponding page on your new site. 301 redirects pass on link juice but not the sandbox filter
