After working on many sites, personal and client projects, I think I've finally over done it and sandboxed a clients website... Rookie mistake.

The client was initially ranking 22nd and over the last few months i managed to get it 4th. Now there was a $2000 bonus from the client if achieved a top 3. You can see why I was pushing the site.


Thing is a couple of weeks ago it dropped our the top 100. At first I thought it might be a google dance but it still hasnt returned. Any ideas? Im thinkin sandbox


Can I recover?

Get your facts right. Out of top 100 doesn't means sandbox. On a side note my largest money website was in 400-500 position for 1 month 10 days then everything was fine again

Ok but what exacly did you do? Give us more info, maybe its just a google dance?

did you check webmaster tools ?

probably you penalized from un natural link building and you are screwed

Because the site was strong I built quite a few back links (blog posts) in a short timescale so that's probably what's done me :/

I think your getting ahead of yourself. When your site drops out of the top 100 after lots of backlinks, it could be a dance.

The way I normally assure myself if a site has been sandboxed or not is:

Go to http://www.seoserp.com/web_tools/google_top_1000_serps_checker.asp

If the website isn't in the top 1000, then I would say there might be a problem.

Thanks for that tool but i don't think it is checking the correct search engine. I'm targeting local google not global. Thanks though

Okay still no improvement. Page 20 to 16 in 5 weeks, not looking good. Any ideas as to how I can recover?

give it time i think its just the dance, mine did the same thing it was gone for almost a month and now just the other day its back

Sandbox doesn't exist........ So, solves that issue...

I've had sites dance for 1.5 months before after doing something similar. Which is why I don't bombard a site anymore lol.

i am out of 1000 and i am still thinking this is a big dance ahah

Same story happen to me before.

i was doing SEO service for a website which is on 18th position on a particular keyword. when we done Forum postings service. it was missed from that spot and unable to locate them.

so holded the work for some days and found the site back to the position. Google always make a check with artificial traffic we create.

i think by natural unique visits it will come to its position.
