I recently updated my phone to One UI 6.1, and since then, my touchscreen has become completely unresponsive. It seems this is a widespread issue, as many users have reported the same problem, especially those with non-original Samsung screens:

This thread for example has more than 30k views (https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5...touch-screen-unresponsive-on-s21/td-p/9958836):

Is this just a bug that Samsung will fix, or is it an intentional move to force us to buy original screens? It feels quite unethical if Samsung is deliberately causing issues for those not using their branded screens.

If anyone else is experiencing this issue, have you found any temporary fixes or solutions that work?

I currently have a friend of mine trying the fix mentioned here: https://xdaforums.com/t/solved-with-root-one-ui-6-1-touchscreen-not-working-issue.4679358/

I hope this might help if some members here have the same issue.

I will update this thread if the fix works for me.

Rule number one: Never update your phone OS

Reason: You are killing it faster and making it slower

Ehhhh. They should make their phones strong enough so screen doesn't break every 10 seconds instead of abusing users that got a screen replacement.

That's why I have a Nokia AND I use this 'wallet' case that closes completely protecting whole phone (not only back).

Honestly, after something like that, if it's deliberate, I'd choose a different brand when buying new phone.
