Galaxy NFT Ecosystem

Heard of it?
Nope, neither did I

South Korean electronics maker, Samsung Electronics, recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with six companies to build the so-called “Galaxy NFT [non-fungible token] ecosystem,” a report has said. The signing paves the way for Samsung Electronics to start work on connecting the virtual and real world using NFTs.

In remarks following the electronic goods maker’s announcement, an unidentified company official said:
Samsung Electronics will continue to innovate the customer experience that connects the virtual world and the real world using NFT with various partners.

No big deal. Almost every big brand is already into the NFT space and the metaverse. A few are not yet and if they also enter, it is not a big deal.
The big deal happens when some people know what to do in such a scenario.
Example, buy some NFTs or some metaverse "property" at the right time and sell it at the right time while the hype is still warm. That is the big deal part, not just announcing that blabla company has entered NFT space or Metaverse. Crypto enthusiasts get all such news everyday through newsletters, etc, no big deal at all.

All the bilionares companies are trying to feed the trend and just become trilionares

Not sure if this is good or bad, but time will tell.

It is not going to make any impact. They do not have related business to cause any significant help to consumers.

quite debatable though
I'm sure a huge amount of the NFT community are android users, probably heck, most likely even samsung phone/tablet users.
It could possibility be the thing that they need to get more galaxy sales
Imagine something like
an NFT pass will give 0.00000000000x% of revenue/sales for all galaxy sales or something (like what they are doing with music) When Nas dropped his album as an NFT via Royal, fans went crazy in owning it.
Or something like the Pixel Pass benefits manifested as an NFT using the samsung ecosystem, it's nothing new as the product itself already exist. samsung driver/contacts etc, samsung users would know
It could even come in forms of having VVIP to the samsung platform, cashbacks? accessing devices at pre-sale prices, before public sales? Getting perks and benefits? Who really knows. They can do it, they have the resources to back it up.

Depends how they going to implement it, dismisisng it as it won't have any impact is just absurd. This is samsung we are talking about, not a random indie company.
