I've noticed something with VCCs that I find pretty interesting.

The same card doesn't always seem to behave the same way on different accounts.

At first I used to think that if a card worked fine, then the card itself was probably good. But after seeing it happen a few times, I'm not so sure anymore.

There can be a lot of other things involved too — account history, billing info, country, currency, spending patterns, available balance, etc.

So when something gets declined, I don't think it's always as simple as "bad card" or "bad BIN."

Maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way, but I'm curious what other people have seen.

Have you guys had the same card work fine on one account but not another? And when that happens, what's usually the first thing you look at?

the true is you said. Even using the same card, it can work well with this account, but can't work at other one.

Yesh i have observed this scenario.i will not conclude that the reduction in the number automatically makes VCC BIN bad.it could be bcz of account information, location, billing, payment history, or even risk factors on part of the merchant. when such a situation arises i compare both account nd billing information before pointting fingers at the card.
