Same IP for IG and FB

Hi!

Paranoid question: as I use bots and sometimes I got same IP for Facebook and IG "spam" accounts, is it possible when I got banned from IG/FB my FB/IG account may be in danger also?

Someone please share some light on this...

I doubt that they link up that efficiently. Anything is possible, but I think that you would be fine unless you are bad on the other account too. Always bet on human nature doing the minimum necessary unless they are emotionally invested in the outcome.

I dont think they will check both ip records, but anything can happen!

These company's are completely separate entities and aren't exactly sharing their highly coveted database information with anyone other than the data miners of the world. They're certainly not sharing it with each other - however, they might be comparing IP spam data so it could happen. You always could grab a dedicated IP for each account if you have that big a concern about it.

IG and FB use the same system to track spam, that's what they said when they moved the IG server into FB data center. I dont know if they track per IP though but for sure they use the same algorithm of for tracking human behavior vs bot.
