This is just an opinion thread. No official news or release here. Also I won't specify any brand directly. You can easily figure it out.

Topic: Same day delivery
This is not a new market , mostly emerging, but big names are actively fighting for it. It started around 2012, mostly used in West Coast. It made its way slowly to the East.

What is same day delivery?

Pros:
- Unique offer (because of cons)
- Grocery delivery is available
- Instant gratification
- Very young market

Cons:
- Require a good amount of initial investment (warehouses, products, drivers)
- Limited market
- Management capabilities for all the regions
- I could go on and on...

So my questions to you all are:
- Have you ever wanted to enter this market or looked at it?
- If you previously had a business in this market, do you have any feedback?
- Do you know any affiliate that offer same day delivery for goods/grocery?
- Would you be interested if there was a service available, like an API, that you could use to build a cart and schedule same-day delivery? Food and physical goods could be fulfilled. Kinda like drop shipping, but it would be "drop delivery".

Any thought is greatly appreciated.

Good for everyone if it comes into regular being. In India, Amazon India is already providing hi-quality-within-24-hours delivery service and it's a major hit among customers.The ordered item arrives even before its waybill arrives in the email (jk this part lol).

Ebay India is already feeling the heat, and so does other online major marketplaces. They all have to close the gap, and customers will be major beneficiaries, thanks to this express fast delivery began by amazon India. Once this becomes the trend, then every other online seller can benefit from the professionalism the couriers have adopted, and also the need for infrastructure this type of system requires will wake up governments of individual states.... Professional management systems will naturally come into play.


Then we, as online merchants, too will be able to use the advanced systems!
