I currently use Sick Submitter as i am like you and didn't want to pay for SEnuke as I don't think I don't use it all that much.
It takes a little getting use to and learning but I find it does what i need well.
Yes you can add your own directory list in to Sick Submitter. It just has to be in a certain format which isn't to hard to get it into.
Don't forget to also factor in the cost of Captcha solving. Unless you are happy to do it manually.

I used SeNuke X for a year and that program is such a disappointment. Not only is it expensive but it just doesn't provide many places to get a link from. Their social bookmarking section would have 100 sites one month and 15 the next.
Been using LinkWheel at although it's a bit of a different process, it works pretty well.

If you're into buying real stuff, seolinkrobot is your cheapest alternative to senuke that has the closest features similar to senukex.
If not, go search up some cracks for senukex and even rank builder in google and just use them til you can earn it for yourself to buy the original software. Can't say its ethical, but I only use what already works. Buy only when it already starts to earn you haha.

If Seo NukeX is too expensive, and I personally think it is too, but your still want to give it a try. Go to Fiverr and search seo nuke. For $5 someone paying for the service will use it for your own site - if you truly want to see if it works for your keyword/site. Good luck!
