Im in tourism and travel. You can probably figure the rest out. 3rd party resellers take over the front page SERPS organically, and then by slowly acquiring lesser companies they justify an ad budget for your city(ies) and become a CPC competitor, they take big commissions, and puff reviews for their suppliers. Also, there are still the always present fake reviews from competitors, hacky strategies like giving your real company a faux name that is a search phrase for Google Places (which still works Im sad to say) etc etc. You get it.
So just to be honest I am a medium sized biz owner who still has a great company, great rep but have seen revenue fall about 35% in two years with no decrease in travelers to the cities we operate in. So Im here to learn and gain the knowledge to keep my business, feed the fam, and incorporate some strategies. Im here to learn, be of help if I can, and be patient while I learn. Other than that, Im a laid back reasonable guy.
