Well, a while ago, I foolishly took out a Sallie Mae student loan. It was for a single semester at DeVry, 8 thousand dollars. It really hangs over my head. It's one of the reasons I've come here, aside from wanting to make anough money that I can focus on my CS studies.

What I'm wondering is, is there some sort of "Blackhat" way to get out a huge student loan? I'm not disabled, nor do I plan to make myself disabled. I've been working on getting a CPA scheme together, but the clock is ticking, and the interest is piling. It really looms over my head.

Thanks, and I apologize if I'm breaking some kind of rule. (I don't think I am.)

You could try to re-finance / consolidate the loan ? ...they will work with you. I wouldn't try anything funny because...well...do you like prison?

What did you study in DeVry ?

The basic stuff I already knew, as I was a very adamant home schooler throughout my high school years.

    Nothing useful, at all.

Not a darn thing. I was just about to get into the actual CS classes...when I realized that I was burying my 60 year old parents in a mountain of debt they'd never be able to repay. (Parent Plus loans.)

Eh, I guess I was halfway hoping that someone in the BH community had some kind of connection to SallieMae. *shrug* Oh wellz. Looks like it's death in a sewer for me. =/

I'm in the same situation...I have about 10K in student loans. Don't feel bad ...keep your head up and hustle...that's what I'm doing.

the only way to never pay them is to become and eternal student. if you remain in school forever they will be in deferment forever.

Yeah I wouldn't trying anything funny / fishy, you'd end up in prison. In an offline world where everything is signed and documented, your best bet is to stick to the rules. Good luck.

    Hm.

Well, I got accepted into a CPA company...and I have a whole bunch of software, and a general understanding of the subject at hand...

I wonder. Is there some kind of software which automates CPA offers, even if it's only a little at a time? I tried Auto Blog Samurai, but that just plain doesn't work.

Well, maybe more to the point, is it really possible to earn enough money doing this alone to pay off an 8k loan with interest, and hopefully in the near future? I guess I just want to know if I'm on the right track.

Of course it is possible. If you simply continue to learn you will always be on the right track man. But, I don't suggest trying to automate filling out CPA offers with bots or some junk like that, if that's what you plan on doing. That definitely won't get you far.

    Why not write article?

Just saying -- because you have a nice flow in your writing. :)

Well, I have been writing intensively every day since I was 11 or so, since I'm huge on text-based roleplay. I even have a book I'm writing, though I sort of wish someone would turn it into a manga.

I thought about writing articles, but I don't want to get suckered into writing for someone else so they make more money than me. Really, I just want to live comfortably, study hard, and not have to worry too much about finances all the time.

You can write articles for a while for some extra cash to pay off interests + some principle easily. Who cares if its making someone more money then you? That attitude isn't going to take you very far. You say you want to live comfortably and not have to worry about finances all the time..well you have to start somewhere. Maybe if you slowly built your online empire you can one day be that "guy" whos outsourcing all his article needs that you despise.

Yeah, but what if I lose my rights to my unique content?

Well, at the very least, can someone point me towards a reputable writing opportunity? Something I could live off of. I can't afford to work for pennies.

Internships? I left college, and DeVry isn't even that kind of college to begin with.

Plus? Indianapolis. Lame. AS. HELL. Seriously, if you didn't move here with a job, don't plan on getting one, and that includes internships. (I can't even find a decent D&D campaign around here.)

I guess I can't offer my services as an article writer here, since I'm obviously not going to get JR. VIP, and I sure as hell don't have anything to donate.

Most of the places that pay you for your article writing pay you once, and that's it. And it's all mundane, popular subjects that I have no expertise in. I'm a console modifier (you know, modding 360s, PS3s, and the like). (And mainly, a fiction writer.)

I did have a pretty sweet idea for a whitehat project, but I can't focus on creating anything so long as that dogdamn inescapable mistake looms over my head.

So, yeah...feeling pretty trapped. :( (In my parents' house, that is.)

    How much is your goal?
Set some goals, and start from 0 and work your way to (X set amount by you) like everyone else :)

I dunno...200-400 dollars a day? Hopefully using the CPA network I signed up for but haven't made a cent off of yet. Is that...unrealistic? I don't know.

I'd be appreciative if someone offered me a JV so I can at least afford to start up my whitehat project. Just getting a big paycheck would do wonders for my morale after having worked on this for a couple of moths.

Upto $18,000 Tution fees for one year due to change in government who are decreasing uni funds.

Therein lies the problem. You need to learn how to walk before you run. You havent made a cent yet, but youre afraid to write for pennies. You have no startup cash to launch any projects. What do you expect to happen? Even if you found a million dollar idea right this second, chances are it will require capital to scale. If I were you, I would write articles (seeing as how you're already a writer). Trade your time for money. Better then sitting around wasting time for nothing looking for the "magic solution" to your problems. Thats the reality of this.
