Hey everyone,

I'm currently working as a Salesforce consultant, mainly with mid-market companies and some enterprise clients. Most of my work is around CRM, marketing automation, customer journeys, segmentation, and data.

Lately I've been looking into the iGaming space, and it seems like Optimove is the dominant CRM/retention platform there. I'm considering specializing in iGaming retention marketing and eventually positioning myself as a retention consultant/agency rather than staying Salesforce-only.

I'm curious to hear from people who have actually worked in the industry:

- How is the demand for Optimove specialists?

- Is it a good niche to build a consulting business around?

- Are operators generally hiring freelancers/consultants, or do they mostly work with agencies?

I'd appreciate any insights, especially from people who have worked on the operator or vendor side.

Thanks!

I don't often come across people who work with Marketing Cloud. Love to see it

Salesforce is just something else now. Always changing, introducing or renaming something.

I did a quick research on Optimove, I don't know what the demand truly is but searching on job boards did not return a lot of results for me. The only company I saw actively hiring for CRM leads is Bet365.

You might have to play around with the search terms to find something that aligns with what you are looking for. The skills on MC should be transferrable to Optimove.

Have you considered hubspot? the demand is definitely there and you can handle clients from both sides without much sweat

I've been playing around with HubSpot, and the platform is solid. I can also see strong demand for it.

My idea is to become the go-to data and retention consultant in the iGaming industry, but I'm not sure which core skill or platform I should focus on to break into the space.

From what I understand, player acquisition is mainly driven by SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and affiliate programs, so companies typically work with agencies or affiliate partners for that.
