Sales Page Design

Here's the situation, I have over 19k people waiting for my money making product launch. Right now I have a professional looking page showing the launch day and grabbing emails.

I paid a professional design company to create a sales page with a fancy car, house, boat and beautiful people, but now I'm afraid it will make the visitors distrust the site even though it's from a registered company.

What is your opinion and experiences on this subject, what will make me more money: a serious looking sales page or an appealing sales page?
