Sales Dying for No Reason

I have a small clickbank site that was getting about 8 sales per 80 visitors during the first month it was created. It took a SERP dive, then returned a week later on the exact same spot on the first page.

That was 2 weeks ago and since then it has not earned a dime. The traffic is up since last month and yet not a dollar since that SERP dive and recovery. The links clearly show my affiliate id on the vendors page.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? Could this mean anything else but people not buying? I was getting a sale Every other day before and now its on a 16 day dry spell. It doesnt make much sense to me.

something is clearly wrong. if you have been receiving a sale every other day you would receive at least one sale within 16 days.
 
Is anything tracking with Clickbank? What happens when you run a test buy?
 
Is the product one which has seasonal relevancy, or sells better in warmer/cooler months?

Otherwise, I'd be checking your site - sounds like it's been hijacked.
 
Um it's called the natural business cycle?

Sometimes you go on dry spells man, that's business.

Really? That seems a bit extreme. I accept that cycles occur in every business, but what the OP reported isn't what I'd call a 'trend', it's a complete and total outlier.

How is this extreme? He's basing his "sales figures" off only 1 month of data, and his lack of sales is only over a 14 day period.

He says he was making a sale "every other day", which means a dry spell of 2 weeks is definitely not a statistical outlier.

Plus hes not talking about something like Adsense where clicks come in every day, he's promoting a clickbank product which is streaky at best.

My bad - I hadn't noticed the fact that it's only a few weeks worth of data!

OP; the sample size is far too small to be meaningful. If you'd had '16.53 sales per month for the last 36 months', then suddenly had two months with nothing, that would indeed warrant a closer look. I'd say you're in the process of learning your numbers on the site in question :)
 
I would contact the clickbank vendor or make a test order, as there could be something wrong with their landing page.
 
Have you cleared cache and made your sure that your rankings are accurate?
 
better try it by changing your hop link or if it don't work then, create new account and you 'll be fine.
