Safest Post Update Frequency

Hi Guys,

For a new wordpress blog, and long term, what is a safe frequency to update a blog to avoid being slapped by google?

There is no general rule to this as it depends on many factors. For your typical affiliate sblog I would say one post every 3 weeks is just sufficient to maintain your status provided your link velocity doesn't turn negative.

I'm starting a pinterest style blog, so it takes minutes to construct a 'post'.

Do you think updating my blog every hour or so looks spammy?

If you update your blog less than weekly, it will be hard to build up a good body of work.

Once every three weeks? Everyone has their preferences, but over 4 months that might be beneficial. From my experience, at least one post per week is sufficient and effective.
