I'm thinking of using software to auto-DM every new follower on Twitter profiles to get them to follow me on Instagram.

What are people's experiences with Direct Messaging limits per day?

Although Twitter says it's 500, I wonder whether people have had bans that they would put down to too much Direct Messaging. I can use multiple accounts to increase this.

Auto DM's don't work. They suck and people can easily tell they're botted unless you find a way to tailor it to each follower. And i dont mean "hi {username}

It'll work, but that's not what I'm asking. I'm asking for people to reply who have experience in the daily limits.

Hey, I am currently automating dms. I am doing follow/unfollow on a child account to grow a mother. After they follow the child account I send auto dms.

My bot is sending 10 dms to new followers ever hour for five hours a day - so 50 auto dms per day. I am doing this on fresh accounts and don't suggest going above 50 if you're automating multiple accounts.

The method is working to grow the mother account and I think 50 dms per day is the safe limit to follow from what I have tested so far.

I'd be hoping for more than 50 DMs - guess it's a case of just testing.

This would be the only function I'd be automating. I wouldn't be doing any following or unfollowing as the followers will grow due to the account being retweeted by a larger account.
