I developed 3 SaaS products. And what's the main concern? Security and handling payments.
GayPal is the first roadblock. You have to think of handling payments and sh*t you wouldn't think is a problem in the first place.
Then you have to prepare marketing, sales and also make sure your product isn't bugged and actually brings new value to the table.
Also I feel tired and would be great to have someone in my team.
Unfortunately only a few people I met were willling to put in time and do this type of thing.
It's really challenging if you consider how long term it is and how little to no money you will see for months.
About 1000 hours and you will start seeing your product in shape. Then you have to sell it.
I don't recommend that if you don't have a solid plan. You can burn out badly. And it's from someone who tried.
I didn't make it to sales. I still have to secure and fix my product, so it's real thing and not some half garbage for quick bucks.
About profit, It totally depends on what idea do you have, how do you execut it and what problem do you solve with it of others.
You need to make something useful. That's all. Nothing unique or genius. Small twist and you're done.
So reselling works too.
Ideas without execution are worthless.
Execute 10 average ideas well. You'll get a lot in return.
Execute 1 genius idea like an amateur. You'll get frustrated people, problems and go bankrupt.
Money can turn an average idea into something people will love. Lots of growth hacking is possible if you know how to do business.
SaaS is about handling business, then software and ideas.
I started inviting people to help me and validate further ideas in my product. I'm 1 year into it and still feel like I know nothing.
Don't do all things by yourself. If you handle sales, let someone handle development. If you handle development, let someone sell.
Going all in by yourself is only doable in simple cases and you will feel overwhelmed.
