SaaS product journey

what way is easier?
I think he mean to say that if you have the skills, people and a target, you can make more money from advertising others AKA affiliate networks.

Good luck OP! I also thought about a journey like yours, now you made me actually do it and not only "think" about it :)

I built and sold a SAAS few years ago. Was fun but found there are easier ways to make money. Best of luck!
Let me pick your brains than,

1. What niche was your SaaS in ?
2. What marketing channels did you use ?
3. Did you use any of the LTD deal sites ?
4. What was your average customer acquisition cost ?
5. What was your average revenue per customer ?
6. What kind of competition did you have ?

I know I asked a lot of questions, but you are a veteran and your advice would be very helpful.

Progress report:

1. I now have about 70 actual users who are using the product on a trial basis.
2. They have submitted bug reports.
3. The users also have submitted tweaks they think are necessary to make the product better.
4. For the last few days I am implementing those suggestions and quashing those bugs.
5. I am now, building in public which is getting me users and a following for my product.
6. New users are coming through word of mouth.
7. Somehow the users feel like they are developing this product with me, which has some of them create
elaborate roadmaps, feature maps, marketing materials etc.
