Hi everyone,

I'm an programmer/engineer by job and currently work a 4-day week which gives me a long weekend to work on my personal projects.

I want to create a SaaS platform where I provide a service for a monthly fee (obviously). I'm quite experienced with UI/UX design, and just building SaaS in general.
Therefore I'm quite confident I got it in me to make this a reality.

But now I'm stuck: where do I come up with ideas? I've read so many articles and advices online; browsed the web for hours on end but
I just can't make up my mind on which direction to go.

Looking forward to hear advice from you guys.

Kind regards,
Luke

Thinking of an idea is one of the hardest things. Try clearing your mind, and go for a walk in the woods without phone or anything. Go sit on a bench with pen and paper and write anything you can think about. (I always do this when trying to find good domain names for a website)

Find a problem people face currently and make a product solving that issue, and then market it Paid or organic.

Welp, that's what I've read in almost every article. It's hard to find what issues people are facing, though.
How would I go about that?

Pick any random idea and work on it. Just copy another saas. You will get loads of ideas while working on it. Don't get lost in searching for ideas to come to you.

Thanks guys. Good suggestions. I feel like I'm in this cycle where I just disagree with every idea that I come up with. Might have to just write all of them down and go with one.

Here one I thought of today. Are you ready. Heres comes the golden nugget.
Select a saas platform/technology. Lets say adalo.
Head over to google:
search :
builtwith adalo
go to link
trends.builtwith.com/cms/Adalo
its a trends link from buldwith.com
scroll down you will see:
Adalo Customers
Get access to data on 639 websites that are Adalo Customers. We know of 639 live websites using Adalo and an additional 0 sites that used Adalo historically and 3 websites in India.
You can get whole report, with pro plan, of 639 sites and filter them in various ways like total spend, traffic etc and select that interest you and build similar saas for your niche or may be with a twist or may be combine 2 ideas.
You can build it in your own technology stack , it dont have to be adalo.
If you dont wanna buy pro plan you can get sample sites on that page like 10 adalo sites in Australia etc.

Another lead site you can get similar report is wappalyzer , both sample and full paid report.

Thanks a lot!
That's actually quite interesting! Currently looking into it. I have to say that € 500,- per month for pro plan is very expensive, but the free plan isn't bad either!

Try wappalyzer too, change filters and get new set of data. For free plan you get dataset of 10 rows.

Meanwhile, you can learn about how to a proper keyword research. keyword research usually brings me new ideas for projects.

Did you think about making a SAAS related to Instagram,FB where all other bots are failing?

You have the market ready,Deliver a good product and you capture it.

May I ask what does the company you currently work for do?

I feel like this is a grey area because social media don't allow bots and will do anything to stop it.
This means that this will require a lot of maintenance and might even have legal risks attached to it, right?

Software and Application Development. Can't go into more details.

Puedes hacer una SAAS relacionada con servicios de ICO, en ethereum. Muchos desean lanzar sus ICOs al mecado y no tienen ningun sistema para hacerlo sencillo. Un Saas que cree los contratos inteligentes basados en plantillas..

Translated - Next time write in English.
"You can make a SAAS related to ICO services, in ethereum. Many want to launch their ICOs on the market and have no system to make it easy. A Saas that creates template-based smart contracts."

In fairness, the idea is where people make money - so it's unlikely people will just hand over their SaaS ideas to you for free.

Here's a few on the house:

- Site where you upload one file and it uploads it back to multiple file hosts for you.
- Site where you upload one video and then it uploads it to multiple video sites
- Platform that scrapes proxies from the web and checks it every 10-15 minutes and let's people download them
- Platform that you enter in a keyword and it automatically finds people on Twitter to follow and follows them to build your numbers
