i got better things to be doing than reading all that

Suit yourself. If you feel that going through life in IM and not knowing the difference between copywriting and copyright will work out well for you, then by all means, do continue on your ignorant path.

It also seems like OP does not live in the land of the free, so being ruined in a civil court might not be very realistic.

OP. You have an excellent chance of making any shitty web-shop look like a million dollar site. Unfortunately you will not get repeat orders cause anyone that types in "your url" again in the address bar will not end up in the right place. Also, as stated before in this thread, and also due to my own search, it is now confirmed that the people that own shop.com do not own the trademark in the USA. So any legal threats could pretty much be ignored, especially if you do not reside or host in the US. Just make sure that you do not look like the regular shop.com in design.

EDIT: I am guessing some cheeky buggers might want to JV with you. I'd suggest it myself if I had the time.

The question is bizarre, shop used to be a large website selling products through affiliate marketing. Is it dad and sold? What do you own? I doubt its shop itself.

so fucking what i called it copy write not copyright big fuck deal..... your an asshole to make that part of your argument you fuck knew what i meant. that does not make me ignorant but it does still leave you an asshole. that can't be fixed by reading a book

your an asshole
Rather an asshole than ignorant. You have been giving nothing but flawed and erroneous advice all through this thread. That is a fact and no matter how much you stomp your feet, that won't change.

Shit just got interesting. shop.com *was* trademarked (you can't trademark shop, but you CAN trademark shop.com) but abandoned back in 2010. If I'm reading that right, shop.com can bitch and moan all they want, but they do *not* own the trademark anymore.

THAT SAID: OP, you should still sell because you are going to have to deal with a whole bunch of BS and unless you feel like you're equipped to deal with it, just cash out and move on.

I was really shocked to see, the "h" looks like same even in ASCII. This thread was really an informative for me, and it'll help domain newbies like me how to protect ourselves from getting scammed.

Actually I remember reading a post about someone who earned $1000+ selling duplicate content converted to these (or similiar) shitty chars so no tool could recognize it is not original. I don't remember which post it was, though. We should be aware even when ordering articles.

shop.com *was* trademarked ... but abandoned back in 2010.

I am guessing it was cancelled, not abandoned. They must have registered it in a preliminary fashion, then it got cancelled because it was too generic. IMHO, IF it was possible to be registered as a trademark, it would be registered as a trademark.

OP, if I were you I'd lease this stuff out to someone not in the US to run it. They should set up a shop and buy traffic. This could be worth tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars. I would also ask a mod to close this thread. Chatting about legal stuff on open boards is always a mistake.

my advise may have been slightly flawed about the law but the end result of my point is 100% correct. the company with the money can and will make your left a living hell regardless if they can win in court and that is correct. So to say i am totally worng in everything i said is a real dipshit point of view. tell you what if i am so wrong i dare you buy the domain and try to run a business on it and let shop.com know what you are doing since they can't touch you. Then when i pass you on the street begging for change i can give you your first penny back toward the recovery of everything you lost.

they might not win in court and the law might favor O.P. but that will not stop a rich company getting what they want which is a lesson thought to anyone that would consider fucking with them. they will have you in court paying lawyers fees for every little thing, they will hire P.I.'S to look under ever rock and find anything you are trying to hide. if you make a dollar that you did not pay tax on they will find it and fuck you with it. so advising O.P. to get away from this before they catch wind of it is the best advise O.P. has been given today. so you are completely wrong to say my advise is flawed and if your so sure it is go ahead and take over shop.com with out a "h" and inform the real shop.com i fucking dare you.

1. There is no copyright/trademark on this, actual domain name is different, read next
2. OP could face some really big problems if he used IDN domain in fraudulent ways/schemes to scam or do other bad "actions" scams !

3. For OP I would rate your domain in $ xxxx range ! Yes 3 zeros easy :D, and probably you could get away with this easy if only you would buy it with fake stuff so no tracks back !

This should be locked, really, I'm having bad ideas in head.. :D

The domain is worth, try to auction your domain on godaddy or go with flippa.com to sell your domain, There are potential buyers in flippa.com.

Already informed OP that I do not have the time. I would still LOVE to run this though. No doubt somebody will do it

Feel free to dare me all you like. I am not in the US. You can't get ruined on lawyer's fees when you are the responding part in a civil court in the country where I am residing, for a number of reasons. I shall not go into the specific details since law is not your forte.

So, this means that your advice is still flawed. Thanks for playing.

yeah ok cause America is the only place you get sued. Anyway if you would take your head out of your ass for a second you would have read the part where they would use other methods beside the law to fuck you over. they have the money they will get you one way or another no matter where you live.

Not what I said. I am saying that the amount I could lose in being the respondent in civil court in MY country is very limited indeed. Did you miss that part?

Yes yes. PI's etcetera. Shop.com are gonna send those over here and fuck me over, as well as some assorted ruffians to break my knee-caps. And this is not BLACKHATworld and I am trembling a bit right here. I really am.

Ever feel like you were on a losing streak but your inability to not say the last word kept on messing things up for you?

misleading why was shop.com in the thrade title?

It's not. It's ѕһор.com (copy/paste)

They have a very particular set of skills, skills they have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make them a nightmare for people like you. If you let the domain go now, that'll be the end of it. They will not look for you, they will not pursue you. But if you don't, they will look for you, they will find you, and they will fuck you.

nope, i get staisfaction out of how your responses get dumber every time.
