My main offline biz is network securities/computer forensics. I've got "in's" at several data server warehouses where I can get a server box, or a blade or two for my own use. Many of the applications I use run Oracle as the backend DB and that in itself is a monster resource hog...
As for tracking core/mem usage, admittedly I haven't taken a look at the analytics recently. Good point to followup on.
Oh, and as for price point, 32gb's is a much much better value/price wise instead of making the jump to 64.
