Running SB On VPS VS Laptop

I was running a copy of SB on my laptop for awhile, always having to leave it on and let it get burning hot all night. I'd also have it crash and have to always leave my computer plugged in directly by ethernet. I was only able to run one instance and it slowed down my computer a lot. I've got a VPS now and I'm running 3 instances with 150 threads and 90 timeout and I'm getting way more success than on my laptop. Here's the specs.

Laptop
4GB RAM
2.1GHZ Processor w/ 2 core
45mbps DL/1mbps/UP

VPS
1GB RAM
Shared Processor, not exactly sure of specs
Around 60mbps down and same for up
XSServer.eu $35/mo plan

So basically the point of this post is, buy a VPS if you want to run Scrapebox lol.

Efficiency also depends on your download/upload speed, but yeah, in general, running SB on a VPS is much more efficient.

Yeah I put in there, my home connection to my laptop tops 45mbps download and 1mbps up. I think it's more that I have a slice of a very beast server rather than a slightly better system (my laptop) which makes it more efficient.

What's that service like that you used? I want to find somewhere that is really reliable and won't ever be down...

Also I have a question for you guys, if by chance someone was running xRumer on the same server I'm on would that be a free license for me? This works for Scrapebox (even though I transferred my own license since no one on my server was using SB) so I was wondering if it works with xRumer and if I could just download xRumer and activate it.

How efficient is a VPS for Senuke? Is a VPS way better than running a laptop too for Senuke?

Not for Senuke. Since Senuke don't use nearly as much bandwidth as scrapebox. Your home connection should be enough.

I love my VPS with xsserver. Here is a screenshot using shared proxies taken about 2 minutes ago.

So there's no risk that my ISP will see a big bandwidth drain and penalize me, or throttle my ISP speeds down?

You should check with your ISP. Mine offer unlimited, so they better not cap it or slow it down.

Let me ask you this then, is there any downside to running Senuke off a VPS?

Senuke doesn't draw enough bandwidth to cause any problems there, but running it on a VPS can have a lot of advantages if you can afford the few bucks for a cheap one.

Ive had various VPS with xsserver, good price but for some reason link checker kills my cpu. However the standalone linkchecker (the free one from scrapebox) doesnt - go figure!

As far as senuke is concerned, ram is way more important than connection speed, so will actually perform worse on a cheap VPS

Scrapebox only works on windows. Would be cool if they supported Linux too, vps cost will go down.

Hahaha.. Same here.. FIrst time im purchase copy of SB.. My internet bandwidth goes down in the same night.. Im purchase addtional bandwidth and they gone.. Internet's bill going up...

Purchase vps and it looks ok now..
