Ive found when I promote posts its more accurate than promoting the whole fanpage. I have to invest more on those posts that generated the most fanpage likes. This is a great method.

I agree , newsfeeds ads works better than RHS ads

That's usually the better way of promoting. People shouldn't be paying fb for their likes.
