Running a US business whilst based in the UK?

Hi,

I am looking to set up a couple of us based businesses whilst being a resident in the UK. Now I know this is obviously possible, I am just wonder how exactly would you go about it? How for instance would you set up bank accounts and payment ways in the UK, and how about registering US businesses as a UK resident? What sort of fee's would be involved?

The businesses would be completely legit, so I'm not trying to keep things quiet and underhand, I just want cheap legitimate business set up.

It varies by place you go, some will give you the out right price, others will give you a pretty price, and hit you with other fees.
There are good routes to take though.
