I am looking into running a giveaway for my e-commerce store using paid ads (push ads) via Mobidea.

The funnel would be: Push ad traffic -> share on social media to enter giveaway (landing page) -> completed giveaway submission.

Aiming to make the giveaway go viral and have a snowball effect, hence using paid ads to get as many participants as possible.

Has anyone tried something similar and what was your result?

Thanks for the help :)

I did it back in the days using gleam . io , it was successfull but be warned about the lead quality! People wanting free stuff might not be there for good reasons ;)

Thanks for the heads up :)

i have tried it in the past and it works nice with stripe
trial + rebills works fine, but you need to use stripe cloaker for accounts not to get banned fast

We make those landers for our clients. They still work extremely well these days!

When you build the lander in the correct way you will only need a few bucks to get it started and you will have a lot of extra exposure for you website, new leads and zero extra costs.

Good luck and share how it went!

Stripe is my main payment gateway so setting up a trial + rebill shouldn't be difficult.

Any tips on how to create great landers?

Push ad traffic -> share on social media to enter giveaway (landing page) -> completed giveaway submission.
yeah you can do that.
a referral contest of sorts works fine

1. Determine your goal: Before starting the giveaway, decide on your main objective. Do you want to increase brand awareness, drive website traffic, or generate leads?
2. Choose a prize: Choose a prize that will attract your target audience and align with your brand.
3. Set a budget: Determine how much you are willing to spend on the giveaway and allocate a portion of it for paid ads.
4. Choose your platform: Decide which platform you will use for the giveaway, such as Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter.
5. Create engaging content: Create visually appealing and attention-grabbing content for your giveaway, including images or videos of the prize.

I would love to explain, but I’ve gotten a message that BHW thinks I’m trying to sell something (which I do not). So can’t explain I’m afraid.

Contrary to your post here, if you post "I am not trying to sell you anything and here is my explanation on how to create great landers, etc" you wouldn't be perceived as attempting to sell.

However, when you state "Here is my telegram AND email, contact me away from a publicly visible area", it's deemed as a sales attempt.

You're more than welcome to explain here. :)

What bad they can do except using multiple profiles ? Main email will still be there.

No worries, right now I am looking into using either gleam.io or upviral to create the giveaway as they have social share

I am looking into providing a paid solution to the free giveaway which will help them even further. After they receive the email for the free gift there will be a 20% discount code for the paid solution which is compliments the free giveaway. Forgot to mention I changed my mind it won't be a giveaway it will be free download of a useful tool and then I offer the paid solution as a complimentary with a discount code.

Thanks for explaining.
I just gave those because in order to explain exactly how things should be setup, it would require details I can assume people do not want to share publicly. But good to know now.

What I meant is: let's say you're doing a giveaway for your business and for somereason you come up with a new keyboard/mouse combo. Well the collected leads might not be interested in hearing about your company since the main reason they opted-in was to get free stuff. You will have to do some list clean up for sure. But the strategy is awesome to go viral on a short budget.

Nah, man, your first reply here was an attempt to attract clients... you can't outsmart BHW.

Creating good landing pages is not a secret; it's actually very easy.

There are more valuable things shared on the forum for free :)

The real sauce relies on getting the traffic and making your website go viral; other than that, it's just nonsense.

Any update on this, OP? How did your giveaway strategy go?

No problem it's perfectly fine to do that, but you have to control your costs so you don't lose money.
