Running a Facebook advertisement

Of course there is. Old accounts will be more trustworthy than old accounts.

Of course, old accounts are better than new accounts. To use a simple analogy, would you rather do business with an old customer or with someone you don’t know or someone you just met? The answer is obvious.

Of course, because an older Facebook ad account is more stable, less likely to be restricted, has a higher spending limit, and delivers ads more effectively thanks to its activity history.

Aged accounts definitely have advantages over fresh ones! Older accounts have established trust with Facebook's algorithm, better organic reach, and fewer restrictions when advertising.

For fresh accounts, you'll need to "warm up" first: post organic content for 1-2 weeks, add friends gradually, complete profile fully. In Ads Manager, start with simple campaigns like "Traffic" or "Engagement" with low budgets ($5-10/day) before scaling up.

Check "Account Quality" regularly - fresh accounts get scrutinized more. Aged accounts can often run higher budgets immediately and face fewer policy reviews.

However, if an aged account has policy violations, a clean fresh account might be better long-term. The key is building trust gradually rather than aggressive tactics.

How old is your current account, and are you planning to run ads immediately or build organic presence first?

As me, a fresh account is more reliable. You can set it up properly in a clean environment, build natural behavior, and warm it up gradually. Recently Facebook’s systems are much more aggressive, so a carefully-built fresh account tends to last longer.

I'm running in niche verticals, so for me, fresh accounts work better. If you know what you are doing, a well prepared fresh account with clear build will be safer and more stable in the long run.

Is an aged account better than a fresh account?
Yes, aged accounts are usually safer for Facebook ads. They have more trust and history, so they’re less likely to get flagged compared to brand-new accounts.

Of course, old accounts are always stronger and more stable than new accounts, especially for accounts with previous consumption history.

It really depends on your goals. Aged accounts sometimes have more trust and stability, while fresh accounts can still perform well if set up and warmed up properly. The key is to focus on good campaign structure, compliance, and gradual scaling. Both can work if managed the right way.

Tài khoản cũ có tốt hơn tài khoản mới không?
An older account will be viewed more favorably by Facebook than a new account.New accounts can work, but often need to be introduced to small spending first.

In general, aged accounts tend to have a bit more trust compared to fresh ones, but performance still depends a lot on activity history, consistency, and compliance with policies. A well-maintained fresh account can sometimes perform just as well if it’s warmed up properly.

Old accounts with good spending history will be more stable

Trust & Risk Level

  • Aged Account
    • Has history of logins, activity, maybe posts, friends, and past ad spend.
    • Generally seen as more trustworthy by Meta, so it’s less likely to get instantly flagged.
    • Warm-up is smoother because the account already looks “natural.”
  • Fresh Account
    • New, no activity, no trust signals.
    • Very likely to be restricted fast if you launch ads aggressively.
    • Needs careful warming (profile building, friends, posts, page activity) before running campaigns.
Hello Huni, thanks for your sharing. I just read your comparison of the aged and fresh account. I have a fresh account to run advertising on Facebook, so What should I do?

I'm running in niche verticals, so for me, fresh accounts work better. If you know what you are doing, a well prepared fresh account with clear build will be safer and more stable in the long run.
Hi Victory Milano, your sharing is useful. Everyone said that the aged account works better than the fresh account. Because the aged account has established trust with Facebook's algorithm, better organic reach, fewer restriction when advertising. How did you find the fresh account running better?

yepp an aged account is almost always better. it has a trust score with the platform, so it's less likely to get hit with spending limits or bans

Yes, I agree with all that aged accounts usually perform better since they’ve got some trust built up, BUT even those can get flagged fast with stricter FB filters. What really helps is pairing them with a good cloaker – I’ve had the best luck keeping campaigns alive using TrafficShield.

Hi there! Aged accounts definitely have advantages over fresh ones! Established accounts typically have better trust scores with Facebook's algorithm, face fewer restrictions, and can spend higher budgets without triggering reviews.

Fresh accounts often hit spending limits quickly and need "warm-up" periods. If you're using a fresh account, start slow: create simple campaigns (Traffic/Engagement) with low budgets ($5-10/day) for 7-14 days before scaling.

In Ads Manager → check "Account Quality" regularly and build history gradually. Aged accounts can skip this process and run higher-budget campaigns immediately.

However, account age means nothing if it has policy violations - a clean fresh account beats a flagged aged one.

Are you working with a fresh account right now, and if so, how long have you been building up its history before running main campaigns?
