Actually I have my own twist with this method. I am able to do this without getting bored because I watch sitcoms while doing follow, unfollow manually.

I think it's probably best to start with doing some automation tests with VM accounts via proxies etc... understand what the limits are to see what is feasible.
Correct, but look into the details behind each IP that could establish links between them. There will only be a finite amount of underlying connection providers, geolocation details etc.
