For a good while I have been enjoying a program that allows me to run scripts, create blogs, even have a domain assigned to my desktop. Its called xa/mpp.(remove slash).

It creates an apache server directly on your desktop. You can run this directly from xp or vista without having to hog up a lot of your CPU.

It has a phpmyadmin package and a mail client that you even can interface with out/look also you can set it up directly with file/zilla.

It allows you to test scripts/pages(with or without php) without having to upload to server. You just copy paste the script into htdocs folder on your desktop, open your browser, enter in hxxp://localhost/myscript(use tt instead of xx) and your up and running the script.

Many of you already know about xam/pp, but I think it's really good for someone learning scripts/servers/auto responders/etc.

Youtube has videos on the installation of xam/pp.

    xam/pp is totally free.

    Code:
    http://www.apachefriends.org

If your doing some bh seo, cl-ling, or whatever, xam/pp may be the trick.

Yeah, I don't use that name on sales pages. One of the things that I use xzm/pp for is with caff/con, there is a program with cc called cc4u that generates content for html pages based on yahoo answers. I like to customize colors, etc. but it's a pain to keep uploading it to the server and run the script so with xam/pp, I can edit the script on the fly, generate my content, and add it to html in half the time.
